I smiled and said it was a deal. I signed the document as she had already signed her part. Thank you there is a second thing I want us to do. She put white linen material on the table and put an empty glass on the material. She took a sharp knife slightly cut one of her fingers and to my amazement stretched her hand on the glass for four drops of her blood.

I also did the same when I was asked to do it. She pours some wine into the glass and shook it. She took another glass divided it into two and placed the two glasses on the white material. She lighted three white candlesticks and placed them around the white material.

She said this is a secret blood covenant between the two of us that no matter how painful treatment we will go through we will never reveal the secret of OUR MARRIAGE to anyone. Both of us shouted sure and took the glass and drank the mixture of the blood and wine. It was late so she dropped me at Zongo lane. After all, I had one month to prepare. I was tired so I went to bed to rest.

I was happy with my employers especially Derrick and Rosaline even Liza was handling me with care. I felt guilty anytime I decided to tender in my resignation letter. The letter was neatly typed. Waiting for an opportunity to give it to them.

I looked at the time on my phone and it was approximately noon. I was with a thought that the check from May should be deposited. I informed my employers that I was going out for food. Liza nodded her head and I left to bank.

Unfortunately, there was a queue so I spent almost 55 minutes. Aside from that, I went to have my launch at a nearby food joint. As soon as I was at the shop I had a call from my friend. I had an interest in what my friend was saying. I, therefore, sat somewhere and patiently listened to my friend.

There were some customers so I ended the call and rushed to serve them. I didn’t know that Rosaline has gone upstairs into the wholesale for some stuff. Rosaline dint call my phone but she rather called her mum.

Lisa just shouted hey you dirty creature and poured water she held her hands on my face as she said are you not aware that Rosaline is waiting for you upstairs? I smile and went to give Rosaline a helping hand. Why are you wet she asked?

Your mum insulted me and poured water on me I said with a weak smile. What did you do to deserve such humiliation she asked with embarrassment? I didn’t do anything Rose you know me. I said with a smile. I thought that was a nice opportunity to tender in my resignation letter. After all, I was not going to work with her forever.
