Boris entered first and his wolf scent quickly reached my nostrils.

- Why is the house smoky? I heard his displeased voice.

He didn’t immediately notice the sound of my heels, unlike the scarred wolf that followed him into the house, frozen at the sight of me with a puzzled expression on his face.

- Madam! - he cooed with a smile, pulling himself together, and felt with a carnivorous look every millimeter of my face and body.
