CHAYSE POV

I held the baby close, smiling at her sweet blue eyes. Her sweet slightly toothless smile was adorable.

Xander looked at her sweetly. Guess he had a soft spot for kids.

"She's so cute..." I sigh.

"That's what you say before you don't get any sleep because of their crying," Eliza laughs, picking up her baby.

"Okay Charlie, you're going to go take a nap, honey." James shakes hands with Xander.

Finally, Xander isn't the scariest wolf alive. Well, not to all at least. I looked down at my own belly as Eliza came out, smiling.

"You'll love having a pup, Chayse. I mean sure, you won't get a decent night of sleep for the first year or so, but it'll be worth it."

"Is it really that good?" I ask in wonder. She nods.

"I have to be my appointment soon. Thanks for inviting us over, Eliza."

"I have one question before you to your oppointment here and go home then not be back for a few months," she says crossing her arms.

    JONATHAN'S POV I came to dine with the High Master, my heart sunken. I realized I loved Xandria still. I may not feel the mate bond that we used to, but I don't feel anything for Charlotte, and it made me realize she did something to me.
