Mag-log inCHAYSE POV
Well, it worked.
I followed, running into the nearby town where wolves crowded over stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. She halted, and I slowed down to a walk, walking beside her into a coffee shop. I gawked at the smells inside that overwhelmed me and almost drooled at how good everything looked and smelled.
"Chayse?" She snapped her fingers, getting me out of my trance. "Earth to Chayse!" I looked over at her and rolled my eyes.
"Everything just looks so good, so don't judge me!" I teased, lightly punching her arm playfully. She returned the punch, and I smirked, going to the register to order.
"I would like a chocolate flavor cappuccino with whipped cream and cinnamon on top."
"Coming right up, Luna," the female replied, pouring in some chocolate syrup and caramel syrup, then adding coffee, making it all seem so fancy. She quickly put the whipped cream on top, then sprinkled the spice to perfection.
"There you go, Luna. Just for you." I went to get out my money, but the woman stopped me.
"No need, you are our Luna, Miss. Anything for you." I smiled kindly at her and thanked her quickly so that Caroline could order.
We sat down at an outside table, taking in the sun and the coffee.
"So, how are things so far with Xander?" Caroline asked, resting her head on her propped-up fist. I shrugged.
"Fine, I guess. I tried to trick him a couple of times to go home, but it didn't work out so well. He always managed to know where I was headed," I replied, stirring the cinnamon and whipped cream into the soft liquid. To me, it made the drink creamier.
"Well, that's just the mate's bond," she replied, downing her coffee quickly. I shrugged again.
"We haven't seen our wolves yet, and my wolf is desperate for me to shift," I say, feeling Aria begging to shift. The full moon was close, and that's when I had to be wary of Alpha's actions. Our emotions get heightened, and so does everything else.
Surely, he will think to mark me before the full moon in two days. His wolf won't let him resist, but I can't blame him for that.
With more wolf bloodline than the rest of the pack, the Alpha, the Luna, the Beta, and the Delta all have to deeply try to control our wolves. It is always hard, but I succeeded every year.
"We can shift today if you'd like. Out in the woods after we get some more clothes for you. You know, formal ones," she sighs. "My wolf is itching to shift as well."
"What rank are you?"
"Well, technically I am a Delta that won't become a Beta, but I am Xander's sister, so I have Alpha bloodlines," she said, lifting herself.
I finished the rest of my coffee and threw the cup in the trash, content with the amount I had consumed. Well, the rest is the past. Dress shopping isn't something I enjoy, but shifting was something I could look forward to.
We made our way into the forest on the other side of the Alpha house and the Pack houses. It was the biggest and thickest forest I have come to see, and that excited Aria deeply. She was growling inside to shift.
Caroline went behind a bush, and so did I, stripping myself of my clothes and shifting quickly. I have come to find myself shifting faster and faster with the times I shift. Shifting is something normal for me. A habit. I used to shift every morning and go for a run as a part of my cardio training.
My white wolf stepped out from the bushes, and I saw a white wolf with red tones and amber eyes staring at me. She huffed and sniffed me, noticing that I was Chayse. I did the same and found that it was Caroline..
She went into playing position, and I found myself tackling her to the ground, triumphantly curling my tail to the lower part of my back like a husky would. I let her up, and she grunted, slightly frustrated how I won our little game so easily. She ran, moving towards a body of water.
I followed, but before I knew it, my paws reached shallow water. A small stream that was very wide.
Small creatures lived here, like tadpoles. I stuck my muzzle in the water and threw it up again, making it feel like a little bit of rain was dripping down my fur. Caroline let out a peppy snort and rolled around in the water, her pelt soaking wet.
I let out a wolfy grin, my teeth forming the smile. Caroline found a smaller fish and grabbed it by the tail and flung it at me, throwing the fish at my face. It wiggled on my nose for a moment as I stood, blinking, before it fell back into the water. I grunted and mind-linked her.
"What was that for?"
"I don't know, just having fun."
She paused, her ears lifted, and her nose stuck up in the air. My heart tugged at me, my nose catching a scent that I would never forget. My heart now hammered as a huge black wolf with the brightest blue eyes emerged from the undergrowth, his paws barely getting wet from the stream.
He growled at Caroline, and she ran off, leaving us alone. I gulped as he sniffed, taking in my scent, then rubbing up against me. He's staking claim.
He nipped slightly behind my ear and licked my neck, taking in more of my scent. His wolf was almost in control, and I could barely control mine as well as he continued to press his nose into my neck and lick my face.
I decided to give into his affection for once and lick his nose. His surprised look made me give him a confused look. He wasn't pinning me down or anything, just simply showing me affection, and I respected that. That's when he was able to earn my affection back.
He pressed his side up against mine, and I could feel Aria trying to talk to Xander's wolf. Xander slightly growled, and I pressed the perch of my head underneath his jaw inside the crook of his neck, comfortably resting there. His satisfied grunt made Aria push harder for control. And I let her.
Since Chayse let me take over, I decided to be daring. Alpha was fully aware that Chayse let me take over, and he did the same, his eyes glowing brighter. I licked his neck, and he growled viciously, making me grunt with satisfaction. He caressed my ear, licking my inner and outer ear softly.
I never knew Xander's wolf, Hunter, had so much control. Well, and then he didn't. He pushed me down to the ground, the stream water only barely touching my ears. I let Chayse back into control.
Xander was on top of me, and I bolted away, shifting quickly and pulling on my clothes before walking inside the Alpha house and sitting on the couch.
Well, I guess my time with Caroline was short, but I'll see her again, I know it. Xander came in about ten minutes later, his wolf still hardly under control. I smirked, knowing that I was the reason he could barely keep himself under control, and lay down, covering myself with a blanket.
JONATHAN'S POVI woke up early in the day the next day, a vile in hand. I had gotten it from the poison department, hoping no one would notice. Everyone here is trusted greatly, do they don't bother to count stock. It's not for anyone in the Frozen Moon Pack though. It's for Charlotte.A tasteless and strong poison.I intend to kill Charlotte and during the night when I leave, when she's asleep, she'll die. Hopefully she'll be found the next morning with blood coming out of her mouth and her symptoms will be counted as a lung sickness that caused her death. Hopefully. She had a glass of water that she takes a drink of whenever she wakes up and she drinks all of it for daily hydration. She loves being healthy...I poured the poison into her glass, then left for breakfast. I'll get ready to go mentally throughout the day. Who knows how Xandria is going to react when I tell her I love her. When I tell her I want her more than anything else. When I show up inside her pack. Will she hurt m
JONATHAN'S POV I came to dine with the High Master, my heart sunken. I realized I loved Xandria still. I may not feel the mate bond that we used to, but I don't feel anything for Charlotte, and it made me realize she did something to me. I feel different than I did yesterday when we were plotting to kill Liam off first, letting Xandria suffer in loss. Now, the meeting/dinner was going to be dangerous for me. I didn't want their eyes nor do I want to now kill their pups for my own personal gain. A tug of loyalty stretched across my chest, tugging me to the Frozen Moon Pack.I knew she was a woman because whenever she stood, I could hear her heels click on the ground and everyone references to the High Master as a 'she'. I sat down, my spot in the center of the table across from some high ranking wolves in this operation.Charlotte sat next to the High Master, whose face was covered with black, conversing with her quietly.I wasn't quite important enough to sit near the High Master j
JONATHAN'S POVI woke up next to Charlotte, the sheets thin and the mattress full of springs. Ever since Xandria kicked me and Charlotte away, High Master has been trying to implant moles into their now combined pack.Especially with the political sensitivity going on right now, the patrols aren't letting anyone pass the border unless they are personal family and the guards were informed ahead of time by someone who lives inside the pack. Yeah, no one is getting in. Charlotte and I are the last wolves who might be able to run to get in. I got up, not disturbing Charlotte, and put on regular clothes. The room we were in wasn't exactly luxury. More like an abandoned pack house from the early 90s. Everyone who is anyone in this mission is here, planning, plotting. The building was in fair shape, clean after the witches fixed it up, but furniture wasn't in the renovation plan. I got out the room, walking down the hallway and into the office I shared with two other wolves who also were

XANDRIA'S POV I sat next to Liam casually, my sweatshirt baggy and warm on my body. "Hey, love. What was the news?""Oh my, it's a twin!"I decided to play this casually to see if he would catch it. "Well, I found out we're having opposite sex twins and the two packs will officially be together by the end of the month. Maria told me early.""Oh, okay," he said. It took a few seconds for him to process. He froze, his eyes the size of dinner plates. His head slowly turned to me, his handsome features covered in shock. "Twins? A boy and a girl...?" He took a deep breath and nodded slowly. I smiled and liked how easily he was taking this.I nodded slowly and lifted myself off the couch. "What if I'm not ready for two pups? What if I am bad at raising girls? What if I have to beat up a guy that broke her heart? What if the boy doesn't want to be Alpha or he doesn't like training? What if he wants to work in medicine? What if I am unable to provide for them? What if-" I cut off his ra
XANDRIA'S POV I was scared out of my mind as I got into Liam's car. I dressed on the nice and professional side, making me seem more organized than I actually was. But when it came to being the Alpha of my pack, nothing in the world meant more. Well, maybe except Liam and this pup, but I would still have work to do. Liam held my hand tightly, a nervous look that I have never seen before spreading across his face."Everything will be okay," I told him. He nods and starts the car, driving at a normal speed until we're out of my territory. He speeds up when he gets into undecided territory/ about to be his claimed territory in maybe a few years. I look to Liam for emotional reassurance but he was no help at the moment. "We'll have our own skin when we get out of this, won't we? I mean, they're just wise old wolves that are the only ones that make decisions about all the territories..." Liam chuckled nervously. "What might they do about it?""Liam, I am putting that out of my head u
