Abigail's POV

"Abigail, just wait and stop proving stubborn."

The click of Henry's shoes signaled his approach. I turned to face him, arms crossed resolutely over my chest, determined to stand my ground.

"How am I the stubborn one?" I lashed out at Henry, my words dripping with venom. "You weren't the one being verbally abused. It would do you well to tell your grandfather to watch his tongue, or he'll find himself in a heap of trouble with me." My voice resounded throughout the hall, making no attempt to soften it.

For Christ's sake, I didn't care if grandfather heard me or not, I was tired of being treated like filth. I was also someone's child and a human.

"Ergh, about that; I'm pleading on his behalf."

I scoffed at his response, they were both the same. Assholes! It was obvious that grandfather didn't like me.

I did not know what I had done to deserve this treatment.

"I'm going back to the place where I belong, and I'm assuming you know where that is." Rolling my eyes at him,
