Abigail's POV***"Abigail, just wait and stop proving stubborn."The click of Henry's shoes signaled his approach. I turned to face him, arms crossed resolutely over my chest, determined to stand my ground."How am I the stubborn one?" I lashed out at Henry, my words dripping with venom. "You weren't the one being verbally abused. It would do you well to tell your grandfather to watch his tongue, or he'll find himself in a heap of trouble with me." My voice resounded throughout the hall, making no attempt to soften it.For Christ's sake, I didn't care if grandfather heard me or not, I was tired of being treated like filth. I was also someone's child and a human."Ergh, about that; I'm pleading on his behalf."I scoffed at his response, they were both the same. Assholes! It was obvious that grandfather didn't like me.I did not know what I had done to deserve this treatment."I'm going back to the place where I belong, and I'm assuming you know where that is." Rolling my eyes at him,
Third POV***"I'll do anything to have you back, Abigail; just please, I need one more chance."As Henry yelled, Abigail didn't bother to listen, instead, she walked down the hallway with her half-torn clothes, which she had shredded with her hands.Henry struck the wall with his fists, his frustration evident. He also hadn't anticipated that Abigail would return to him with open arms after the hurtful things he had said.Realizing he had crossed a line, Henry knew that he had to bear the consequences of his actions. He understood that he had hurt Abigail deeply and that she would need time to process her pain and anger before forgiveness could even be a possibility. What if she didn't?With his heart pounding, Henry reached for his phone and frantically called Zayn. The call went unanswered, and the incessant ringing did nothing but fuel Henry's distress. With a snarl, Henry launched the phone into the distance with all the force he could muster. The device collided with the floor,
Third POV***Zayn and Henry turned their faces towards Grandfather, their expressions frozen in disbelief. Their eyes were wide with shock, mouths slightly agape, as if the words they had just heard were incomprehensible and left them reeling.Grandfather addressed Zayn and Henry, noticing their stunned expressions. "Stop gaping at me like that," he scoffed. "I'm willing to give her a chance to prove herself, but only if she can show me she's strong and capable. That's as much as I can offer." He knew Abigail wouldn't pass his test but he was willing to give her a chance. However, it was only because of Henry."I know she will prove you wrong"Zayn chimed in, backing Henry's earlier statement. "You're right, Henry. Grandfather, you're underestimating Abigail. You'll be proven wrong when she shows you what she's capable of." As Grandfather wheeled his electric wheelchair towards Audrey, Zayn watched with a knowing look in his eyes."I'll be taking my great grandson with me for a few
Third POV***The camera flashes were blinding, and Henry's eyes instinctively narrowed to shield themselves from the harsh light.Henry had an interview scheduled with a well-known, live-streaming television network. His status as a celebrated figure afforded him the luxury of arriving at the studio in a calm and collected manner. The live-streaming television network awaited his presence, anticipating the interview with one of the most renowned personalities in the country.A young woman dressed in a tight body-fitted top and a pair of blue jeans tried holding hands with him as they walked but Henry ignored her attempts and shoved his hand into his pocket which erupted a gasp from the crowd. The woman was Josephine Amero, a professional interviewer that had been in the industry for the past five years and still counting.Attempting to hide her embarrassment, the woman plastered a smile on her face, revealing her perfectly flossed teeth in an effort to save face before the cameras.
Third POV***★Call the cops, she is trying to steal our man from us★★ What do you guys think his reply will be?★★Damn! This is unexpected!★The comments were still coming in, with several people battling with their keyboards as they typed with bitterness. Most of them project their hatred onto the interviewer.Displaying a level of composure that surprised even himself, Henry replied smoothly, "I wouldn't date you because you're not my type." ★I can't breathe, OMG, will I be his type?★★She must be crying inside right now, rejection hurts truly.★Despite being rejected by Henry, Josephine maintained her composure. Her face was all smiles, hiding the frustration she felt at being turned down after making so many attempts to gain his attention. Why would any man reject her? This was a blow to her career, in fact a slap to her profession.Like always, she had to fake a smile even when she didn't want to, it was part of the rules of her profession."That is quite harsh Mr Henry" She f
Third POV***Abigail sat on the bed, her fingers maneuvering the knitting needles to create something beautiful from simple wool. She had discovered a passion for knitting recently, and the movement of the needles in her hands had become a source of enjoyment and relaxation. This time around, she was knitting a red fluffy sweater and she wanted to make one for Audrey and one for Snow. Her attention was all on the two metal needles and she knitted away, busying herself with a task that she enjoyed. It was their free time and she couldn't afford to waste her time and do nothing."This isn't looking so great, maybe I should restart it." Abigail pouted, even though it wasn't looking perfect, she knew Audrey would love it as he had always supported her in everything that she did. However, she wanted it to be perfect for him. She decided to start all over again and then create a masterpiece for her two little babies, Snow was of course included.Abigail stood up, placing her needles and ha
Third POV***More than two hours had passed and Abigail still sat in the entertainment room with Aria. They had both cried and comforted each other though it was more of Aria comforting Abigail."I will go take some fresh air outside Aria, is that okay?" Abigail said to Aria, she stared at the already sleeping Aria and caressed her hair for a while before turning to leave.Abigail walked with slow and deliberate steps, she didn't want Aria to wake up because of her so she had to be extremely careful. The door made a quiet sound and she slipped herself outside successfully. She wanted to take a breath of fresh air and maybe clear her mind a little. Henry's confession on live TV was shocking and she still couldn't stop the images and his voice from replaying in her mind. She soon got out of the corridor and slipped outside of the building. The mansion was in the distance and she could see it, so she decided to walk towards the gates instead and maybe keep circling around the building u
Third POV***A week had passed and so far things have been going great for both Abigail and Henry and their bond strengthened to become much stronger than it used to be.Following Henry's heartfelt public apology in front of all the maids and staff, Abigail decided to return to the mansion and reside in her own separate room. She felt that this would allow her to maintain some distance from Henry while also allowing her to be close enough to monitor the situation and judge for herself whether Henry's behavior had truly changed. Henry had gone on his knees and begged for her to return back, everyone begged when they saw the young master's genuine apology, in the end, she listened. Now she was back in the mansion and things were looking better for them.Abigail folded her clothes, arranging each dress on top of the other. After smoothing out the wrinkles with her hands, she gathered the pile and carefully placed it in the wardrobe before turning to see Henry who had his brows raised a
