Abigail's POV

Despite my arrival at dinner, Grandpa Brundeen made it clear that he did not acknowledge my presence, treating me as if I was invisible. His dismissive attitude stung, leaving me feeling dejected and hurt, as if I was nothing more than an object to be discarded.

I was sure Zayn and Henry noticed it too, but it seemed they didn't have a say, even after I have tried to strike conversations several times.

"Grandfather" I heard Henry speak for the first time since I have gotten to the hall.

"This is Abigail Williams, the mother of my son and your first great-grandchild." He pointed his hands at me and from the corners of my eyes I saw Grandfather look up.

I felt Grandfather sizing me up with a harsh stare, as if he was trying to determine whether I was worthy to be among them. His cold, scrutinizing gaze made me feel uncomfortable and self-conscious.
