MIRA

Mira walked away from Tyler, her steps steady but her heart still racing from the confrontation. The cool evening air brushed against her skin, grounding her as she made her way back to her dorm. She felt a strange mix of emotions—relief for finally setting boundaries with Tyler, but also a lingering unease. His kiss had caught her off guard, and though she’d pushed him away, the audacity of it left a bitter taste in her mouth. She shook her head, determined to let it go. Ethan was her future, and she wasn’t about to let Tyler’s persistence cloud that.

As she reached her dorm, her phone buzzed in her pocket. It was a text from Ethan: “Just checking in, love. You okay? Miss you.” Mira smiled, her heart warming at his words. She quickly typed a reply: “I’m okay, just dealt with some stuff. Miss you too. Call you soon?”

She slipped into her room and sank onto her bed, staring at the ceiling. she noticed some bags and guessed her roommate Sarah was sure to be here already.
