LOVING MR WRONG

Lick his foot darn it ! Damian screamed. His terrific glare made Kara tremble to her knees.

"Bu..But Damian, it was a mistake. I didn't spill the juice on his shoes on purpose." She said with a shaken voice and tear filled eyes. She wasn't at all embarrassed at the number of people in the hall staring at her in awe and bewilderment. Her only pain and concern was why her one and only heartthrob derived joy in making her look like an idiotic joke all the time.

" You heard me Kara. I hate repeating myself and you know it."

Fabian, Damian's wealthy childhood friend, walked briskly towards him, with a glass of wine still in his hand. He sometimes wondered how he was still friends with a scoundrel like Damian.

"What on earth are you doing?" He whispered to Damian between gritted teeth.

"Stay out of this" Damian said with his eyes still fixed on Kara.

"Mr Willows it's fine. My PA will take care of it. I'm well aware that it was a mistake." Mr Gregory, the owner of the soiled shoes pleaded.

"No Sir. I can't have my secretary mistreat one my business associate like this. I won't let it slide." He said not lifting his fiery gaze off Kara, who was still shaken up.

"Now Miss Kara, if you still want your job, do as I have instructed as this is an order from your boss."

Kara took in a deep breath as she slowly wiped her tears with the back of her palm.

"This is it Kara just do this, and kick this jackass out of your life once and for all." She thought to herself.

She slowly bent to her knees and began licking the spilled juice off Mr Gregory's shiny designers shoe. She bled in her heart as she did this continuously, until a strong hand grabbed her arm.

"Have some dignity Kara and follow me out of here". A voice she will recognized said.

Fabian pulled her up and dragged her out of the party till they got to where he packed his car.

"What was the meaning of that Kara? Couldn't you just walk the hell out of there?" Fabian said a hint of anger in his voice.

Kara said nothing but kept sobbing. With a sigh Fabian drew her to an embrace.

"It's okay. Calm down. I understand that you work as his secretary and you have to take some of his shit, but not even his manager who earns millions for him can endure all these. I have come to understand that you endure all his mischiefs only because you love him. Don't you Kara?" Fabian asked still holding her to his chest.

Kara said nothing but slowly nodded her head.

"Then you should stop loving him. He doesn't even acknowledge you as a lover, but only sees you as a plaything he owns."

Kara slowly drew from his embrace, feeling much better.

"Thanks Fabian. I know you care a lot about me. Although I know Damian has his flaws, but he is still a lovely man. He is just confused at the moment. You know better than anyone that he didn't grow up in a love filled environment. So he doesn't really know how to love." Kara said, trying hard to convince her own self into believing this was infact the reason behind Damian's rashness towards her.

Fabian chuckled for a bit .

"Is that what you tell yourself anytime he pulls up his bullshit? Is that how you convince yourself to keep hanging on to him? Oh Kara! I am his childhood friend who has been with him for twenty years now. I know him more than you do. Yes, the stories you've heard about him not having loving parents are true. But this cannot excuse him for treating you the way he does. Okay Kara, has he ever told you he loved you?"

"Well.. he gives me gifts anytime he upsets me. For instance, the first day he hit me, he got me a beautiful dress and a pair of heels the next day. I know he doesn't mean to hurt me"

"Goodness! How come love makes women suddenly become so dumb" Fabian thought slapping his forehead with his palm.

" Look here Kara, that does not mean that he loves you. If hasn't said it to you, that means he treats you this way because he doesn't really feel obliged to you. Okay tell me. How did he ask you out, if you know what I mean?"

"Yeah.. it wasn't exactly in the kind of way other men may do it, you know he is quite a different specie . He asked me to be by his side as his secretary and a lover"

"Kara, it sounds like he ordered you to be his lover. If a man really loves you, he'll say, will you be my lover, and not in a commanding format. Also, he asked you to be a lover and not his lover. That means you aren't the only one he is seeing, and that darling, I can assure you is a fact."

"Like I don't know" Kara said with a smirk.

There were both silent for a while as they both rested on Fabian's Rolls Royce.

"Listen Kira, I can only but advice you. The ball always remains in your court. Let Damian go. Leave him be, so he can meet a woman as toxic as himself. You are just to good for him. Allow him to lose you so he can come to understand the rear gem that you are." Fabian said with concern and pity in his eyes, making Kira smile at the sweet soul.

" You sure are one hell of a psychologist. I'll think about all you've said. Thank you so much Fabian for tonight. Damian is so lucky to have you as his friend."

"Oh please use a megaphone on that one, because that fool doesn't know how lucky he is." Fabian said with a chuckle, making Kira burst into laughter.
