4.Nemesis

I heard him take a sharp breath as though he was surprised by his action. The fire has finally caught up on both ends. He might have acted to be in love but as my eighteenth grew nearer I knew he might be feeling the same hunger I had for him. Males will feel the mate bond only after our bond only after we turn eighteen it is a way to protect the children. It might have saved me this long. But soon that protection is going to wear off. Nothing is going to stop him from claiming his Luna. I knew he wanted to keep it a secret for now. He might be afraid that I will be undermining his authority by continuously defying him.

"What? You are not going to rip off me?", he asked me with a raised eyebrow.

I knew I still wasn't eighteen then only I would have access to my complete power. Then only I will be able to fight him and probably win. If I didn't end up fucking him and getting knocked up. Since my birthday is also going to fuck me up royally. My Wolf will completely overpower me. But I still believed that I was strong enough to control my baser urges.

"I'm not your baser instinct. I'm a part of you", said an indignant voice. My wolf Kasa had talked to me again.

"Now that is settled. I'm going to leave you here. Don't try to escape because the palace is heavily guarded. I'm giving you space and time to come around. You can go wherever you please within the palace. I don't wish to chain you. But don't make me regret my decision", he said as a warning.

"I will see about it", I said breathing hard.

"This is my do-over as well", he said after a heartbeat.

I watched him go away from me. He was still nude. My Wolf wants me to watch him but I forcibly turn my face away. I thought that Kasa would rebuke me but thankfully she was silent. I followed his way out sighing about what to do next. I had no plans but just thoughts of getting revenge. But I have no idea how or when. I just knew that it wasn't going to be easy. I walked straight to Daisy. I had grown up in this palace. I knew every nook and corner in here.

If I'm going to succeed in my mission I have to find an ally and there is no one better than Daisy. She was trapped in here like me. But the problem with allies is that they can be quickly turned against you so I have to be very much cautious.

Finally, I saw her sitting in her bed and icing her face. I felt a pang of guilt when I saw her wince at the pain. It was my fault that she got hit. She was a casualty just like my father and brother.

She raised her eyes and she looked frantically. My guilt intensified trifold.

"Don't worry. Alpha knows that I'm here", I told her. He has given access to anywhere inside the palace including Daisy's room. She looked relieved.

"I was worried about you", she said in a low voice.

"He died. The guy who hit you", I said to her.

Instead of seeing happiness, I saw that her face was down. It gave me a surprise.

"I thought you would be happy", I exclaimed.

"I don't become happy hearing about someone's death", she said with mellow.

"He also hit me. Alpha killed him", I said to her.

"I would never understand your world of violence. We have poverty and other issues but nothing like this", she said.

"I'm sorry you are trapped in here", I said with compassion.

"My family owed money to the government. So I'm sent here as a Labour to this pack", she said.

"You want to go back?", I asked softly. I knew it wasn't in my power to grant her wish. But I couldn't help but ask.

"I want to go home. But all my families are sent to other packs. I know they are not as kind as this alpha. I'm being fed at least", she said with a sigh.

"He doesn't hate humans but the majority of the alphas do", I said. I knew my father did. He said that they were traitors who tried to kill us.

"I would never kill anybody", she said forlorn.

"I know that. You are too good for being a murderer", I said with a smile.

"I'm glad that he let you out. I was surprised that he locked up an innocent like you", she said pressing her lips.

"I'm not innocent. My father was his biggest enemy. He hated our family", I said.

"Where is your father?", she asked me.

"He killed him along with my brother", I said a lone tear leaked out of my eye as I admitted this.

"I'm sorry. I have heard about the blood baths that occur every time there is a power transfer", she said with a whimper.

"It was not just a power transfer it was a massacre", I said tightening my face.

"He let you live?", she asked me.

"Yes", I said but I didn't tell her the complete truth about me being his mate. She hadn't earned that yet. I was still assessing her.

I heard the door open and the same human girl who was with Silas stormed inside.

"You should stay away from him", she said to me.

I watched her face. She was very beautiful and blonde. Her blue eyes lightened with fury. I watched her with a grimace The last thing I wanted to do was deal with a jealous sidekick of his.

"Cool it, lady. I don't want him", I said.

"You won't have him even if you want. He is mine", she said.

"Ok. In case I get interested at some point I will remember your words", I said with a smirk.

"Bella, he is a werewolf, not a human they will never have a relationship with us", she said her voice barely audible.

"Shut up Daisy just because no one is interested in you doesn't mean that Alpha doesn't want me", she said with a huff and left. I watched her sashaying out of the room.
