SELENE WOLFE

"What do you want?" I snapped, my voice tight with irritation.

He just chuckled, his eyes glinting mischievously. "I'm just your guide, sweet Selene. Here to make sure you're not harmed." "Why would I be harmed?"

"Because, you my dear are one special one."

I rolled my eyes, feeling both annoyed and slightly unnerved. "I don't need a guide" I shot back, lying on my bed.

But he didn't relent, staying right by my side with a playful grin. "Come on, where's your sense of adventure? You never know what dangers could be lurking around the corner."

I huffed in frustration, before standing up and walking out. I was feeling the eyes of the pack members on us as I made our way through the packhouse. They couldn't see him, of course. To them, I probably looked like I was arguing with thin air. And that just made me feel even more irritated.
