Chapter 18: First Kiss

I stared at my naked reflection in the mirror, hickeys blooming across my skin. Memories of last night crashed over me in vivid waves, so fresh it felt as though it had happened only moments ago.

The way those men had taken turns with me, their rough hands roaming over my body, the way one of them had knelt between my legs and devoured me—my face burned at the memory. What disgusted me most was the realization that, even though I had hated every moment, my body had still responded. It had betrayed me, welcoming those vile touches, finding pleasure where my heart felt only shame.

Humiliation twisted inside me. The thought that this nightmare was far from over made my chest tighten, my mood sinking as my eyelids grew heavy with despair.

Just then, through the mirror, I saw the door open and Alpha Damon step into the room. His gaze landed on my naked figure, and for a brief moment, surprise flickered across his face. But it vanished almost instantly, replaced by his usual cold, expressionless mask. His eyes brimmed with disdain.

“You seem to have done better last night,” Alpha Damon said, a smile curving his lips though it never touched his eyes. “You finally stopped struggling and resigned yourself to your fate… or did you enjoy being their toy?”

Although he tried to hide it, I could see the pain in his eyes, and that made me realize something. I decided to test the waters, so I replied with a smile.

“The men last night… although I didn’t see their faces, their touches set my body on fire. They made me feel like a woman. The intense pleasure when—”

Before I could finish, I felt a painful grip around my neck. It was so tight that I couldn’t utter a word. I could only stare blankly, unable to speak. Even breathing became difficult. I felt suffocated.

Then, right in front of my face, only three inches away, was Alpha Damon.

I had never seen him this close before. His face was flawless, so beautiful it almost seemed unreal. But his eyes… the moment I looked into them, my mind went blank. They were terrifying, filled with killing intent and coldness. Bloodshot and fierce, they made me shudder in fear.

“Shut up!” Alpha Damon rebuked me.

At that moment, it hit me. My eyes widened in shock as I realized Alpha Damon was jealous. At first, I was confused, but then I understood—it was his male ego at play. Even though he didn’t want me, the thought of me loving him had fed that pride. Realizing that I had accepted the touch of other men had shattered that ego and stirred his jealousy.

Perhaps he had acted on impulse, because he quickly let me go. I coughed several times as air rushed back into my throat. After Alpha Damon tossed me onto the bed, I lay there for a moment before deciding to provoke him.

“Are you jealous?” I asked.

He scowled at me. “In your dreams. Not in this world or the next three would I ever be jealous because you slept with other men. You are a whore, Alexander. Now that you’ve accepted that, it saves me the trouble of dealing with your tantrums. I’m sending another batch of men to your bed tonight. The men you served last night testified that they became stronger after sleeping with you. You might not be as useless as I thought.”

After saying that, he turned and walked away quickly. I could feel his mood. Even though he hadn’t branded me and the mate bond between us was weak, I could still sense the intense anger in his heart. I chuckled softly, realizing just how unpredictable men could be.

I shook my head and went to wash up.

It was when Christina brought me breakfast that I finally decided to ask the question that had been tormenting me.

I thought about it for a moment before saying, “Aunty Christina, is it possible for the Alpha to hear our conversations?”

Christina smiled at me before replying, “Of course. The Alpha can hear every voice in the palace, unless he chooses not to pay attention. Nothing spoken here is beyond his hearing.”

A cold smirk formed on my lips. So, he wanted to torment me? Then I would make his life unbearable too.

Christina must have noticed my expression because she asked worriedly, “Are you alright, my Lady?”

I grinned at her and said, “I haven’t felt this good in years. You don’t need to worry about me, Christina. I’m perfectly fine.”

Although Christina let out a breath at my words, her brows were still tinged with concern as she said, “My Lady, I think you should take a walk. Staying in this room for so long has greatly affected you.”

I shook my head and insisted, “I’m fine, Christina. You need not worry.”

As I clenched my fists, a plan began to form in my mind.

When the sun set and dark clouds gathered in the sky, I decided to be more proactive. I went into the bathroom, washed up, changed the incense in the room, and sprayed perfume on my body. Then I wrapped a robe around my bare skin, wearing nothing underneath.

Just then, the door opened and two masked men entered my room. I couldn’t see their faces, but from their builds, I immediately realized they were not the same pair who had come the night before.

I smiled at them and said, “I’ve been waiting for you two. Since you’re here, I can’t wait to have a taste of you. I hope you won’t disappoint me.”

They froze at once, but I paid them no mind. Without hesitation, I untied the robe wrapped around me, letting it fall and exposing my naked body.

The moment I did, their gazes darkened with desire, and I could see the bulges in their pants growing more pronounced.

With a crook of my finger, I beckoned one of them forward. He obeyed. I grabbed him by the neck and leaned in for a kiss.

Just then, I caught a glimpse of Alpha Damon standing by the window, staring at me coldly. The corners of my lips lifted, and I said deliberately, “I want to taste your lips. This will be my first kiss.”
