Seraphina POV

Every day was the same routine. In the morning Allister had breakfast with me in our room before he had the some of the house staff come and help me get freshened up for the day.

Allister continued to keep me drugged so I was still awake but loopy enough that I still needed someone with me to do every day things.

During the day I would either spend the day in the cottage that Allister’s father owned or I would stay in bed, like a good patient. I had been lucky to not have seen Allister’s father up until this point and had hoped it would have stayed that way. But today seemed to be the day that that would change.

I was sitting the the recliner in the living room of the cottage watching some re-reuns of Friends when the front door when the front door busted open and a furious looking Reaper. The man that killed my mother.
