Prologue

“Ugh harder!” I heard a female voice cry out.

Whoever she was, she was getting the pounding of her life by the sounds coming from down the hall. A blush crept over my cheeks and chest as I thought about what must be happening in the room. As I continued to walk down the hallway to my room, I quickened my pace in attempts to give the couple more privacy. I wished I could experience the passion that the happy couple was clearly experiencing. However, as I got closer to my room in the Packhouse, I noticed the woman’s voice get louder.

As I approached my door, a thumping sound accompanied with the soft moans of a female were emanating from my bedroom! I felt my wolf Alya instantly tense and raise her hackles. I felt my eyes dilate to that of my wolf so if there were a threat she could respond accurately.

My hand shook as I grabbed the vintage gold knob. Slowly I opened the door and gasped at the sight before me. It took a few moments for me to register what was going on. An overwhelming wave of bitter betrayal hit me in the face. “What the actual fuck is going on here?” I yelled.

Seraphina's POV1 Day Prior My mind was wrapped up in the thoughts about my husband, Alister as I walked into the large auditorium that we used for pack meetings. Here at the Shadow Pack, we are always accepting new members in attempts to grow our pack. It was one of the few things we did that made our pack different from others. Some of the surrounding packs thought of us as the “pack of misfits,” but that didn’t stop my father from being the welcoming man that he was.
