The night was not funny at all.
A huge storm rolled in when me and Orel were already in bed and it was so bad that some tent were being ripped out of their location.
Orel was called to help and for me not to be alone, Dyane was escorted to my tent where we both sat silently as we waited for the storms to be over, there was not much Orel could do at that moment other than to minimize the damage being done.
The rebuilding will be done after the storm but that was not what plagued me. What plagued me was the fact that there were warriors caught out in the rain and they must be very weary, with a storm like this, not all would return. I had already started my mourning of them.
“My lady, the warlord will be okay.” Dyane said when she noticed my tears.
I shook my head as I answered her “You would not understand.”
“Nothing.” Orel said confused.“You must have done something, since I am sure that you are the only one in the camp who can make her cry.“I didn’t do anything.” Orel said again as he moved away from his friend looked close to punching him, he approached me slowly and reached out to me as if I was a frightened little lamb. When I didn’t shy away from his touch. He gathered me into his laps as he petted me while more tears fell from my eyes.“What happened?” Orel asked my with his voice the gentlest I have ever heard it.“Nothing.” I replied as I made efforts to stop the tears from still flowing.“Then why are you crying.” Elison asked as Orel aimed a glare at him.“Because I am scared that I will lose Orel.” I sobbed as I wrapped my hands tightly, around Orel felling that this will be the last time that I will be able to touch him this way.“Why wil
The next day, I woke up with Orel still beside me in the bed. I was sore. I should have paid attention when he said that the next step of our relationship could start, what was I expecting? Wooing? I was already his wife. Still I was shocked that he was still beside me, normally he would have been gone since dawn. “Stop acting as if you are still sleeping wife.” Orel sleep filled voice said a moment before his hand dragged my body more closely to his.“I was not acting” I lied through my teeth, I was acting.“Today, we will bathe together this morning then have breakfast before joining others.” Orel said ignoring my earlier statement.“I should have known that the reason you remained behind was to drag me there and not for my company.” I grumbled as Orel smiled.“The reason why I remained behind is to spend time with you.” He said as his hand drifted to my butt before he grabbed it
Twenty minutes later, I was standing in front of Gwenn in the training field holding my sword with my two hands, I would love nothing more than my twin’s swords but I have a feeling that Gwenn will laugh at me for been childish to liking that weapon with this among my arsenal.“Okay, what should I do?” I asked her as she gave me a grin that chilled me to my core.“Try and defend yourself against me.” Gwenn replied as she rushed at me with her sword. I gave a yelp as I quickly raised the sword to defend myself against her attack. When our swords met, a fiery of sparks flew off the sword ads I felt the vibrations from the force Gwenn used down my arms. My arms felt as if they are not mine. I pulled all my weight into the swords as I pushed towards her and I was rewarded with her stumbling backwards. She narrowed her gaze at me as she came at me again, this time swinging the swor
OREL POV Gwenn matched into the tent with anger written all over her face. “What’s wrong?” Elison asked getting tensed at the fact that’s she was angry. I was tensed too, no matter how angry Gwenn makes me with her childish attitude, it doesn’t change the fact that I am used to always protecting her and keeping her happy.“Your wife doesn’t know about Warriors bonding with their blade. And I would not be surprised if she picked that sword that you showed me was hers because she is vain. She and the sword are not in accordance at all. She nearly split her skull open with her own sword.” Gwenn ranted as me and Elison settled in with the others as we waited for her to steam down. You do not interrupt her while she was in a mood, she might attack you just to pour her frustration out on you.“How can she be married to you for more than a week and have not noticed that you and your sword ar
When Orel gave me my double swords in the evening without saying anything about what Gwenn might have called our training today, I relaxed a little bit, maybe Orel didn’t see me as much of a disappointment but I was trying my best and it was not as if I wanted to cause harm to myself on purpose but when I removed the sword from it scabbard, I felt lightness and knew that I will be better at defense against Gwenn tomorrow than today. I just needed to ensure that I remain light on my feet although I was scared that she might break the sword with hers because they looked too light and so flimsy that I was worried about their survival.“Don’t worry, they will make it through. The swords are strong and light for easy use, it is a very fine sword.” Orel said from behind me as I jumped up and away from the sword before I did something stupid like show my husband that I could cut myself open with the swords which he brought for m
I left the stables when it was close to noon to continue practicing on my target that was when I saw Elison besides it.“Go away.” I said in greeting to Elison who nodded.“Good morning to you too. I see that you are sharing the same amazing deposition with your husband.”“Then share in his not mine.” I growled at Elison who shook his head.“Both of you are angry, what happened.” Elison said as I paused in strapping on the scabbard to look at him in shock.“Orel is angry, what gave him the right to be.” I demanded.“I don’t know, that is why I want you to tell me.” Elison said as I shook my head.“I don’t know why he is angry.”“Then why are you angry.” He asked.“No reason that concerns you.” I said as the bitter taste came into my head again, I knew t
“That is enough Wife.” Orel said with hard eyes staring back at me. I tightened my grip around the sword until he also increased the pressure he applied on my wrist until I have no choice but to drop down the sword. When he reached for my other sword, I gave it to him willingly because I could see that I had gathered a crowd to watch me.Orel threw my swords far from me, as he turned to face me again, I wrenched my hand out of his hold. And marched away from the two of them. I saw Dyane and I walked towards her with my face drenched with sweat and looking like a cloud. She didn’t shy away from me. I glanced back at the field only to see Orel knelt close to Gwenn, I turned my face away from the sight as Dyane put her arms around me and led me away from the scene. I didn’t want to see Elison face too. Even if Orel didn’t warn me, Elison should have.Dyane took me to he
I knew that I was hiding, Dyane knew I was hiding since I haven’t left her tent since I woke up and controlled my random bursts of tears, she knew this because I had told her enough times that I hate being confined. I hate whatever I was feeling but I was not hiding because of attacking Gwenn, gods knows that I don’t feel an inkling of guilt for what I did to her but still that doesn’t change the fact that Orel stopped me and his rage for barely concealed when he stopped me. I don’t care about his feeling. He can go to hell for all I care about but what I was concerned about was the fact that I very much afraid of his wrath, I had never seen Orel with that cold unknown emotion burning behind his eyes and with the way he gripped my hand hard, I just knew that I had to leave his presence before he will do something more worse than cause bruises in my arms.“I cannot believe, the cheater did this to you.” Dyane said as if she w
