ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN

Lila did not like that even though Levi's father had just died, he was subjected to one meeting after another. Instead of having to be able to mourn his father, he kept on going from one board meeting to another, trying to talk with investors and silent directors. The major issue was that his father had not organised his will before dying and it meant anyone strong and wilful enough to put up a fight against him could end up with ownership rights of the company and it broke Lila's heart. She just wished that he would be allowed to grieve for his father and not have to begin to act as if all was well.

She wondered how he was faring, considering that she barely saw him at home; he was only in the house for a minimum of an hour a day and he always found a way to come when she was already asleep. Lila could not stand the loneliness, so she invited Jasmine to stay over so she did not bore herself to death.
