Chaminuka Lodge was the chosen meeting place for a few enlightened former government officials. The resort was located forty-three kilometers east of Lusaka and offered a variety of activities to the local and international tourists. With breathtaking sunsets on the fringes of Lusaka, Chaminuka started out as the stately home of the Cyprus born historian and author, Andrew Sardanis who migrated to Northern Rhodesia in 1950 at the age of eighteen. He brought with him a congenital aversion to British colonialism and a spirit of enterprise and adventure.

The lodge’s design drew inspiration from a Zambian village and numerous guests that included revered artists and historical figures that called it home thus gave the lodge a very rich history.

Just a short drive from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, Chaminuka was a luxurious gateway with twenty-four hour front desk and friendly staff to ensure great experience.
