He was one of the rare products of the University of Zambia. He came top in his class and graduated with a distinction in political science. The government bursary he was awarded came handy for his parents were far from managing his school expenses. His social life was moderate but concentrated on his studies all his four year period. Zitani was mostly on the quiet side and was more analytical than he was vocal. Through his stay at the Great East Road Campus, he maintained only a small circle of friends. His bright mind attracted most beautiful and classical girls around and within campus. Mostly his friends called him double Z because of his names which both started with letters Z.
