Mess
Rajata felt like he was swooped to a different realm. The hotel ambience that was bright and quiet suddenly disappeared. The atmosphere of the cafe was dim, only the stage was lit by spotlights. The boom of the music played by the music group on the stage was blaring. Tables and chairs were filled with visitors who were immersed in their busy lives, alone or with their spouses or friends.
Merina looked for an empty place. Her choice fell on a sofa with a short table. As soon as she stepped over there then threw herself down, she put the laptop bag under the table.
Rajata sat beside Merina.
A waiter immediately came over. Merina swiftly delivered her order, and the waiter left them.
They were both silent, just enjoyed the song that was reverberating. Merina sat back against the sofa with her legs stretched out. Her face seemed to soften with a faint smile on her face. Rajata sat upright next to her.
