Chapter Five

I ran the bath on cold and undressed and slowly got it. I put bubbles in so I could calm down. I slowly started to relax my toes and then up to my leg and then my fingers and so on and soon I found myself asleep in colder water.

Dream

I could tell I was somewhere relatively safe but all I could see was pitch darkness. It was so dark I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. I was on my feet I started to walk for a while and before long I stumbled and fell on the ground it was cold and slick like polished granted tiles. I got back up and soon was knocking over what sounded like furniture.

I bit more of pushing over furniture and I come across a low glow coming from a room. I went to open the door-

End of dream

Sarin was in the bathroom pulling me roughly out of the tub.

"Don't you ever go into the room you saw, I repeat myself one more time don't you ever under any circumstance do you go into the room with light." He was shaking my cold shivering body back and forth. I let the words process through my head before I nodded and muttered okay.

He let go of me and handed me a robe right out of the dryer to warm me up faster. "I'm sorry for being rough I just can't stress enough that you can't go into that room and when you're ready for those dreams I'll show you but you're not yet."

"You don't have to justify your actions Sarin," I said coming over to him. I glanced around the bathroom the door was ajar from when I'm guessing Sarin came rushing into stopping me from something stupid, I'm hoping it was only stupid.

"No, I do Blair!" He pulled my robe off my shoulders "Look I bruised you!" I looked at his imprinted hands on my upper arm and put my right hand over his hand mark that was left on me and I could feel the fear he had run through me along with the fear of losing me again.

"Sarin, I know how you felt. It doesn't even hurt."

"Tell that to Carden. He is going to kill me for sure."

"He kills you and he kills a part of me. He wouldn't risk my anger or my life."

"I also got your clothes. You can change when you're warm enough to com toe join us." Sarin looked torn when he lifts the room. I could relate to my feelings and his fighting around in my body.

I dressed in a teacup black and purple dress and did my hair up in a curl pin-up. None of my clothes covered my arms and so the fight with Carden was going to be the first thing I would have to stop before it got too far. I walked out and sat at one of the chairs facing the back forest.

"Blair, whose handprints are those?"

"I'll tell you but if you get mad and act on it I'm not going to be your beloved because you will hurt me more than this looks."

"I won't." His voice was already deeper than usual.

"I'm not telling you," I said and faced the wall Sarin joined me in the other chair.

"It was me. She was about to do great harm to herself in the dream she was having I had to wake her. I didn't realize I did bruise her till she was near me. I apologize and she didn't accept it because it doesn't hurt her." I was up and holding Carden away from Sarin in a second.

I took his hand and put it on the mark and pushed the feelings Sarin had into Carden's hand. His face looked like he was lost somewhat. He relaxed and sat in the chair I had the lift to stop him.

"Sorry for being hasty Sarin I see now that you didn't mean to. It's just that Blair is my beloved and I'm sure I will feel as strongly as I do for her as time goes on for you." Carden was seeming to be more himself.

I sat with Sarin. I felt stronger and safe with him and I could tell again that he moved in a way that wouldn't force a dream on me. I felt a longing to have sexual intercourse with him like I had in my past life but that would be too much contact. Sarin was a thing I always wished for when I was in school. Oh, school at least with school my dreams came at night and not whenever they liked.

"So when you came to Cairo near the Nile all of us were to bond together, it was in the hope you would abolish the law to kill us in-betweens in order to save the ones you love and those that we love but your law had already killed Belladonna that I knew you wouldn't be inclined to me or want a bond with me. Having no Belladonna and being for the best words so far rejected as your other beloved I set about finding a witch to help me fight the coven of vampires killing in-betweens. It was not an easy task."

"I take it you still want the law abolished, you also want to ask more of me this time around. Did I do something to affect your lives in a dangerous way again?"

"Yes, I still deeply want that law gone. The thing I wish this time will benefit the witches. They like us in-betweens use a part of our root magic to perform their most sacred of ceremonies such as burring the died to send them on their way to the afterlife, they have not been able to perform this ceremony since before your grandfathers time and they need this law removed to let their beloved witches move on to their meant afterlife." Sarin was calm but I could tell that the laws the vampires enforced were hurting a lot more people than just the in-betweens. Somewhere deep within Sarin, I could feel the anger he did to these harmful laws.

"I've read that law and a part of their performance of this ritual involved sacrificing too many humans. A group of witches performed it and started the Salam Witch trails in doing so killing so many more humans than their own kind. They might have sent an unbelievable amount of their witches on their way but it doesn't justify the small amount of humans lives that were lost during that time. Even werewolves and we were hunted down by humans and forced to be subject to their death trials. It's why we have these communities. That law will not be lifted unless the lives of humans are spared." Carden said in he's calming deep voice.

"They said you would say something along those lines and they have rewritten it to take the blood of themselves in the place of the death of a human." Sarin was most definitely very passionate about this.

"You can guarantee that their performance of this sacred ritual will indeed not harm a human soul?" I could tell Carden was only trying to ensure that if the law was removed what happened in Salem wouldn't happen ever again.

"I'll sign in blood on their behalf." Sarin said

It was a weighted thing to sign things in blood and we were the other half of each other so if by him signing in blood sealed his death upon failure to keep the contract then it was my life.

"You will not sign with our blood!" My voice echoed like before and Carden's movements to get the pen and paper to form the contract stopped.

"Blair-Boo, I would never in any way have you do blood signed in death," Carden said as he resumed his movements to write it up.

"I don't care if you write it as such it's my life on the line of blood too. I might be able to die and be reincarnated but if Sarin dies I die leaving you with no chance to have me again and no beloveds." my voice echoed again.

Carden looked at Sarin. "Is it true that if while you were hunting down that coven if you were killed Blair would cease to exist in that very moment."

"It's true though I hadn't known she was reborn till I was done killing them and by then she was 6 and I had no means of forming myself into here life like you could. You can hate me all you like for putting her life in danger for six years but I also sensed she was in danger in her dream and woke her before she could have been harmed." I could feel his emotions on all of these topics he felt bad and even worst about what could have happened in a dream.

"I'm with Blair your not signing anything in blood. I'll just abolish it and in its place that the human sacrifice is unlawful and will be punished with their own death with not ritual for themselves or those involved in the human-related death. We've all tried very hard to blend in with the humans to show ourselves now would be death to millions." Carden when into a door and closed it behind him. I heard a faint click of a lock.

"Are you insane Sarin, that would be both our lives."

"Don't start that argument with me again Belladonna..." his sentence trailed off as he realized what he had said.

"I just mean let's do not have this fight in this life, please. I only was trying to repay them for their help in killing that coven. If I hadn't had them I still would have been hunting and killing them, I don't believe I would have found out you were even reborn."

Sarin moved me to face him. "Don't think or a second that I ever wanted to die after you were gone. I prayed and hoped that as a queen of the in-betweens you would in fact be reincarnated to join me again to finally mate Carden like we wanted to in Cairo. Those are the things I thought about every waking moment and every dream I had with you in it Iyearnedd to touch and caress your skin again." Still sitting on Sarin I could tell we were joined by his smaller member between his legs. I got off his lap.

"That's very touching and I'm very glad your back but I need out of this room and sleep." I moved for the door but before I could even lay a hand on the doorknob Carden was in the way.

"You’re not leaving my sight again."

"Fine but I'm not amusing you men," as I talked I walked to her closet and opened the door, "good night." I went in and closed the door behind me. I went and laid on the dressing couch in there and was soon asleep.

Dream

There was only darkness again. Remembering what Sarin had said I found the furniture and when I found a sit I sat and waited for my body to feel recharged so I could wake.

End of dream

I woke to a frantic knock on the door of the closet. I got up and open the door to a worried Sarin. "I'm fine Sarin I didn't go in," I said patting his chest I walked out of the room and Carden shadowed me the whole way there I went in Blake's room and took a shower, dressed, went to the kitchen, ate and this is when Carden, Sarin, Blake, even my brothers though I knew they wanted to run with how much power was in the room.

They ate and talked they tried to get me to but I really didn't want in the conversation. I just went deep into my thoughts as I mindlessly ate my food. So if Sarin knew I was at the door in the dream how come he didn't know when I just sat down and waited. Next time I should find a couch to lay down. On the seat was okay but it was giving me phantom pains. Sarin knew my movement to the door but he couldn't tell when I was still so did he think I slowly moved through the darkness to open the door without alerting my presence to him. Sarin wouldn't tell me why and I was okay with it but the way he talked about how I was in life-threatening harm was starting to make me want to know why I couldn't go into the light.

I came back to reality when my motions to my mouth with food weres meet with me biting and an empty spoon. I sat it down and drank my vanilla almond milk. I got up and did my dishes and left to go to Beck and Grant's room. I liked it in there and Carden hadn’t been following me.

"Blair, where did you get that power that we feel coming off of you?" Beck said as he came into the room slowly and sat by me.

"It was awoken when Sarin showed up. Though I'm sure if my life was in mortal danger it would've awoken then." Grant flopped on his bed, gave me the whatever motion he always did and said, "I'm going to sleep Beck will talk with you."

We laughed and then quietly started talking about whatever was on my mind like we use to. We didn't talk about the things to deal with Sarin and Carden or the people out to hurt Carden. It was nice to just laugh with Beck even if we had to be quiet so as not to wake Grant.

When I did leave the room I was face to face with Sarin.

"I need you close to me more than Carden does. It's been so long that the connection was cut and I felt the world in half colors and emotions. Now I have them coming at me at full speed and it's like opening a dam. The dreaming helps but it doesn't work as well as you do."

"So what do you want from me, is it to be joined at the hip with me from morning to when we go to bed. Even then you know what happens to bee there."

"I do want to be joined at the hip with you. That is how it had always been and now you don't want to be close to either of your beloveds. As for your dreams, I don't always know where you are. Only when your life is threatened. It's why I had to chase you twice to find your location, I never meant real harm to you."

"I know that now. Fine, you can be joined at the hip with me during the day but you have to show me why I can't go into the room with the light." I could tell he was weighing his options and the was he could get out of it.

"How about I start out slow somewhere in the middle so that way when I get to it you know what has happened was more than what is being seen."

"I can handle that at least when you're talking about my past I'll understand."

"It might improve your feelings towards Cardenand meI." Sarin said picking me up to carry me bridal style. He walked me to Carden's room where all my things now were again. I guess Blake knew I was going to be forced into being in this awful room. Later I found a letter saying as much in the bathroom with my lady products for my cycle when it came.

Sarin and I formed and bed near the fireplace that was now a roaring mass behind the wrought iron gate in front of it. I changed my clothes to shorts and a tank to feel the warmth from the fire. If it was a bonfire it might have reached close to the coldest day in Cairo, I could feel that was true as I lay there with Sarin in only shorts I was starting to feel a deep connection.

"Once we hug both of us with be dreaming. We will just be observing not fully reliving. I've asked Carden to come in and check the fire so that way it's easier to stay in the dream till we need to."

"Okay." There was a pause like he was thinking of the time in which he wanted to start and hugged me.

Past Egypt Dream

We were trying to find a way to effectively start to dodge the law that was going to be placed. We were trying to get on the audience but that stopped once we heard about the law that would back it unlawful to even be alive with the marks on our bodies. We had gone to witches to get rid of them but they didn't have any way to remove them and we had tried cutting a small area off but the would come as the skin did.

We were always covered when we went out and Sarin had to pretend to be blind and I would guide him about the town as we shopped. The humans thought we were of a religion of a foreign land but they never questioned us right out when we spoke their language and gave them the local religious greeting back to them. We had just finished the building of the Great pyramids.

"Sarin we can no longer stay here they are going to start going door to door with the heat we can't stay fully dressed all the time. They could come at night when we're dreaming and that wouldn't help our cause. You know they would kill us on the spot."

"I know we'll have to go talk to Mitchell and he won't just do it for free he'll have some awful deal that we have to agree to so we can move as frequently as we need to for free into the empty houses he as."

"I don't like him or his deals he could go rot in his human hall for all I care. I think he might be a sleeper witch with the way he looks at me with his eyes. You said yourself that you feel that look too." I was making our food that looked more like a soup, it was a weird looking soup like it held not sustaining properties for either of us.

"What am I making?" I looked at my Sarin and he just shook his head. I guess I'd be told when the dream was over.

Some time had past and we had packed and we had our more personal things with us and the rest was to be sold so that way we could try and avoid Mitchell's awful deals as long as possible.

"I wish we could have just gotten in view of Carden so he knew we were his mates. Then we wouldn't have to more or eventually make a deal with Mitchell." I was helping Sarin cover his face in a way that he could see through the cloth to make see Mitchell when he paid him.

"That's good Belladonna." He grabbed my hand. "We both had it hard to find each other but we pulled through. We'll do that again with getting Carden."

"I wish there was a way I could contact him through our bond but it's just too weak to go to him in dreams and even then he would be walled up like I was to you."

"We could ask the coven of witches that were going the try and help us with our tattoos as they called them."

Carden was picking up a basket to carry to the port to sell I picked up on as well and linked my arm with his so his.

Time passed again. This time we were in one of the houses that felt like we had to come back to at a later time. As I saw were are bed was it came back to me as to where we had sex.

"I got one of the witches to come and meet us here but they have a deal they want to make and I have a feeling it's not going to be bad and it just might be the coven that Mitchell is with."

"You worry too much about those witches." Sarin said

I snapped back, "You weren't there to see the looks they were giving my body. It was just the way Mitchell eyes me from a distance."

"When will they be sending one of theirs?"

"Soon." With that, there was a knock at the door. Sarin answered it to find no other than Mitchell.

Mitchell was a burly man, dressed in fine robes. He must have had more than one business to bring in the money to flaunt in robes that fine. I could feel is look rack my body. Turning his attention to Sarin as he came in.

"I knew you weren't blind especially when you would leave Belladonna's side. For a human, the way you moved was enough to move attention off of you but for a witch of my level it was an insult but then I had to keep reminding myself that you didn't fully know me to avoid that insult."

"I was right!" I whispered into Sarin's ear as he moved his body in front of mine.

"I was hoping you weren't," Sarin said very low that I was the only one that could possibly, "So let's hear this dreadful deal."

Mitchell sat down at the table. "We lend you the power and at some point, Belladonna will stop reliving her life and when she does it will be a matter of time before she will come into lightroom and otherwise darkness and we will take her life. You need this power to add to yours, we need your life energy to turn us to pure witches."

"So let me get this straight she has to willingly go into this lightroom or you’re drawing her to it." Sarin said

"I see a point there. She had to knowingly and willingly go into the lightroom, meaning that she has to first fully know what will happen to her and willingly come into the room. At any point, if she dies she will be sent to the room till she is reincarnated in which case her going into the room with bringing Belladonna and both of you men. In that scenario, we take an even about of life energy from you all and send you back after we are all pure. You all then will be sent back to your bodies what will have to be in a coma. Your bodies will be weak so Belladonna better comes in when she is as strong as the rest of you." Mitchell seemed smug but not his usual way since if I die before I willingly go in and get reincarnated then we all go in and we all live afterwords.

"I don't want you to take this deal, Belladonna." Sarin was worried and I understand why though I didn't ever see myself or a reincarnation of myself ever going into that light. I needed the extra oomph to get hold of Carden.

"I'm going to take it, Sarin, we need to get Carden one way or another, and the others not working this will work and you know it as much as I do. We might not like it but it's the only way. All of us will make the choice when I'm reincarnated, then I'll be strong enough."

"She takes the deal?" Mitchell was still somewhat smug over at the table.

"Yes, I take the deal Mitchell now I'd like you to leave so we can eat," I said starting up the soup I saw before.

"I wouldn't want to intrude," he got up and left.

"We already ate." Sarin said as I put the stuff back.

"He didn't know that I couldn't keep seeing his smug face." Sarin laughed and we went to bed.

End of Dream

The fire was still roaring, and Carden was watching over us with some worry on his face. Sarin was waking up still holding me like I was going to vanish into thin air.

"You two okay your tattoos were all glowy and I thought something was going wrong. I was going to try and wake you in like two minutes."

"I'm glad you didn't wake us it would have been bad. It could've brought us back to that mental status and you wouldn't be able to change it once it was done." Sarin's voice was gruff just to stress that it was not a good idea ever to wake us well in a dream life.

"Sorry I'll just be watching over you and worrying too much." Carden’s deep voice had deep stress in it. I went to get up but Sarin held me to him and kissed my face all over.

I giggled which turned into laughing. Carden's face flashed with jealousy and happiness and was laughing at us within seconds as I still tried to get up Sarin kept me down and kissed at my neck this time bringing me to moans that is when Carden pulled me away from Sarin.

"I don't get to do that you don't either." Carden was playing but I could see that Sarin couldn't tell.

"He's playing Sarin. I'm free!" I ran from the room and into the kitchen.

"I'm going to get to her first," Carden said but I could hear his bare feet moving before Carden was even moving.

I grabbed food from Beck and continue to run around the house until I found a nice place to eat and stay hidden to enjoy it. It was blood laden but I was craving it for some reason. It could've been from the soup in the dream that was driving me towards the food my brothers ate.

I could hear Carden and Sarin running around the house still but I had hidden in a vent towards the ceiling so it was going to be crazy if Carden found me before Sarin. It had been a few hours but I had split the food I took into four portions to get me through the day. I could see where the vent leads but then it would make a very loud noise. I couldn't have them finding me that way.

It was deep into the afternoon when I heard Sarin and Carden trying to find me together. They realized I was not running around anymore I had gone through two of my four portions. I took a nap and by then it was dinner time I only had one more portion and then I would have to come out and that would mean I won but it could be a trap I looked out the vent holes and saw Sarin standing there.

"I found you Blair and Carden isn't here with me so I win." I popped the food in my mouth and moved the vent lid and jumped down into Sarin's arms. The vent closed behind me.

"Were you in there all day?" I nodded and he carried me to the kitchen and made that soup I made when we lived in Egypt. It was a complex mixture of things but the main thing was blood like six blood bags or blood. It had little chunks of spices and other foods that would add more of a food flavor to the blood.

"You always made this better than me but when you died I had to go off taste to get it right. We ate this every meal and it never cost us more than a penny into days money." I ate it all up and the tattoos on my legs gave a small glow the whole time.

"You're getting stronger. Your legs always gave off a soft glow when you were as strong as Carden but without having me for so long and having died you might of let Mitchell take some of your life energy. Which would be something you would do so your body wouldn't be so weakened when we all go."

"I don't remember much but some things are coming back with you being here." I finished my soup and was now very tired I was going to go have a food coma but that meant that dreams would come. Even with a nap, I was sitting in darkness.

"Sarin will you show me when we meet that way I don't have to sit in the darkness." it came out a lot weaker then I was planing it to. I could tell Sarin could hear the fear in my voice and the worry I had now.

"Blair, I would do anything you asked me too but we need a recharge from the dream we observed."

"So not tonight then." I walked slowly to Carden's room Sarin put his hand on the small of my back "It will be fine I'll be right there with you the closer our bodies when we go to sleep the closer we are in the darkness." I sighed slightly and curled up near the fireplace that was now slowly dying down to ashes. Sarin joined and started to hum me to sleep.
