Outside the restaurant stood Mrs. Elizabeth, a domineering aura around her as she stood aloof waiting for Zoey, and as soon as Zoey stepped out, she glared at her disdainfully.

“How long did you think that you were going to run?”

“Mother!”

“Don't you ever address me in such a manner, I will never give birth to a ruthless child like you, how could you be so cruel even to your father who has been there for you through thick and thin?”

“Whatever brought you here, you should be fast about it, I need to get back to work”

“And you think that I am going to let you get back inside there, you need to come with me and complete the wedding because Mr. Clint is brushing down our neck”

“If there is a debt that you should pay, then go ahead and settle it, because I am not going to be a scapegoat for a ruthless man like Zander Clint”.
