Amora fell silent for a moment when the car Vicktor was driving stopped in front of a romantic-style restaurant. The dim hanging lights, the soft music, and the fragrance of fresh flowers made the atmosphere feel warm and intimate. Her eyes widened in disbelief.

“You… brought me here?” she asked softly.

Vicktor gave a faint smile, then pulled out a chair so Elisha could sit first. “Think of this as an apology. Lucy hurt your feelings, and I don’t like seeing you wounded.”

Amora slowly sat down, suppressing the laughter that almost escaped. Inside, she was cheering in triumph. Look at that, Lucy. Your husband is treating me this way now. You deserve to feel the pain you once inflicted on me.

When Vicktor sat across from her, his expression grew serious. “Elisha, I hope after this you can forget everything Lucy said.”

Amora raised her eyebrows. “Oh, so this lunch is some sort of bribe?”

Vicktor exhaled deeply. “It’s not like that, Elisha. I just… I don’t want you to be sad.”

"Watch your words! I could report you for defamation!" Amora snapped sharply, her eyes burning with fury as she glared at Lucy."Oh, please," Lucy retorted with a cutting tone, her lips curling into a bitter smile. "Do you really think you still have a good name after daring to flirt with my husband?"Amora let out a short, amused laugh. "Lucy, Lucy... you still have a mirror at home, don’t you?" Her smile turned cold as she looked straight into Lucy’s eyes. "Try looking into it—and see who the real seductress is."Lucy’s face stiffened. "What do you mean by that?" she asked, offended."Don’t think I don’t know your past, Lucy," Amora replied calmly, though her voice sliced like a knife. "You stole Vicktor from his first wife, didn’t you?"Lucy froze. Her hands clenched tightly at her sides, holding back a surge of shame and rage."The homewrecker isn’t me, Lucy," Amora continued, her tone steady and piercing. "It’s you."With that, Amora turned and walked away, leaving Lucy standing

News of Roy’s death spread faster than Lucy had expected. The woman froze in front of her vanity, her fingers trembling as she held her phone, listening to the report from one of her trusted men.“Are you sure?” her voice rose sharply. “Roy is really dead?”“The security officer said the man was found lifeless in his apartment, Madam,” the voice on the other end replied uncertainly. “But… there’s nothing there now. The apartment is empty.”Lucy immediately stood up. “Empty?!” she exclaimed. “How could it be empty if he just died there?”“I don’t know, Madam. There’s no police tape, no officers around. It’s as if nothing ever happened.”Lucy slammed her phone onto the table. Her breathing quickened, and her face flushed with anger.“Damn it!” she hissed, kicking the chair in front of her. “If Roy is dead, what about my plan?!”Her hands clenched tightly, her gaze piercing through her own reflection in the mirror.“I won’t let my husband go back to that cheap girl!” she growled through

Amora hadn’t thought this far ahead. She assumed the video was the same one she and Roy had watched together that romantic night at the restaurant—the CCTV footage from her old house they hadn’t finished viewing. But apparently… it wasn’t.The screen showed something far more terrifying. It was CCTV footage from Roy’s apartment. The room was dimly lit, illuminated only by a lamp in the corner of the desk. Roy sat there with a tense expression, while in front of him stood a mysterious man in a black suit. His presence radiated cold authority—powerful, intimidating, dangerous.“You know every move you make has been watched!” The man’s deep voice thundered from the computer speakers.Amora swallowed hard, her fingers instinctively covering her mouth. Who is that man?She continued the video. Roy looked uneasy, trying to speak, his voice trembling.“Mr. Kenn, please forgive me… I didn’t mean to betray you.”“That girl belongs to me!” shouted the man named Kenn. "You had no right to lure h

About two hours had passed since her last photo shoot. Amora had already changed out of her gown, wiped off the thick layers of makeup, and now stood in front of the director’s office door. A call from Vicktor—the big boss himself—was something she couldn’t refuse, even though her body was already exhausted. Before knocking, Amora took a slow breath. For some reason, her chest felt heavy. She lifted her hand and knocked, a bit harder than intended. “Come in,” came a deep yet firm voice from inside. Amora grasped the doorknob, pushed it open slowly, and stepped in. The cool air from the air conditioner brushed against her skin. Closing the door behind her, she paused for a moment before looking at the man sitting behind the large desk. “Have a seat, Elisha,” said Vicktor in a friendly tone, his faint smile failing to hide the sharp look in his eyes. Amora nodded slightly and sat down in the chair across from him. There was something in the way Vicktor looked at her, as if word

Roy’s facedown position made Amora instinctively drop to her knees on the floor. With trembling hands, she turned his body over—and instantly, her breath caught in her throat. Her chest tightened at the sight of the bullet wound still oozing fresh blood on Roy’s chest.“Roy…” Amora’s voice quivered, barely audible. “You were shot… you’re dead.”Her eyes widened in disbelief, unable to process that the man she had argued with just last night now lay lifeless before her.“Who did this? Could it be related to that person from the CCTV footage?” she muttered urgently, rising to her feet with a sharp glint in her eyes. There was no time to drown in grief. Roy was gone, and Amora knew exactly what she had to do. She looked at his body one last time, drew in a deep breath, and turned away.“I’m sorry, Roy. But I have to continue this.”Amora hurried toward Roy’s room, which was still in disarray. The blanket had been thrown to the floor, clothes scattered everywhere. Her eyes darted around t

After that unpleasant dinner, Amora truly couldn’t sleep. It was nearly dawn, yet her eyes remained wide open, fixed on the ceiling. Every passing second felt like another weight pressing down on her mind. That video kept replaying in her head—the voice of her father, the firm tone she had known all her life. “So Deddy didn’t die because of a heart attack,” she whispered softly.“Do I have to sacrifice myself for the sake of justice for Deddy?” her voice trembled, as though she were speaking to the empty silence of her room.By four in the morning, Amora finally managed to close her eyes, sinking into exhaustion and tangled thoughts.Time moved faster than she realized.A knock on the door woke her.“Amora, wake up, dear. It’s already seven. Don’t you have a photoshoot today?” Jessica called from outside.Amora blinked, pressing her fingers against her heavy forehead. “Yes, Mommy. I’m getting ready now,” she replied quickly. She rose at once, went into the bathroom, and a few minutes
