Sabrina's POV

I stared at Nicholas with unstoppable tears, even though his grip was so tight on my shoulder. I didn't understand why he was acting like this, as if our marriage was so precious to him when in every step, I always felt insignificant in his life.

However, the words I wanted to say were stuck in my throat. I was afraid of Nicholas' anger, afraid that my words would only make things worse. I tried to take a deep breath, trying to understand this situation with a cool head.

But the feeling of injustice continued to surge in my heart. I never asked to be involved in this marriage, I never asked to marry Nicholas. I was just an ordinary woman who wanted to live happily, without having to be trapped in a relationship full of lies.

Sabrina's POV Nicholas sat across from me after finishing his order. “I think… tonight we deserve to enjoy a little peace, don’t we?”I looked at him, my eyes softening. “Yes, I feel that way too.”Before long, the doorbell rang softly, almost unheard. I immediately stood up, knowing for sure that it was the food Nicholas had just ordered. He followed behind me, walking casually.“Don’t, let me get it,” he said, quickening his pace.I smiled slightly and returned to the living room, pulling a light blanket onto my lap. The atmosphere of the house felt different tonight. Calm, warm, and for once… not stressful. I could hear him chatting briefly with the delivery person at the door, then the delicious aroma of fried chicken began wafting in as he came back inside.“Fried chicken is here,” he exclaimed, lifting a clear bag with two large boxes and several packets of rice. “And don’t worry, no pizza.”“Good,” I teased. “You stil

Sabrina’s POV This evening, I could breathe a little easier. After days filled with anxiety and long nights at the hospital, the doctor finally said that Charlie could go home. His body wasn’t fully healed yet, but his condition was stable enough to continue recovering at home. Upon hearing this, my heart raced with relief, emotion, and a bit of panic.I quickly gathered all of Charlie’s things. I opened the neatly folded clothes in the small suitcase I had brought since the beginning of his treatment and checked them again. I made sure his favorite blanket still smelled fresh and wasn’t dusty. I held his little robot tightly, then placed it on his hospital pillow.Charlie was taking a short nap while I moved quickly to prepare things. Seeing his peaceful face made me feel a little calmer, even though worries still haunted me. Would he be comfortable at home? Hazel’s POV Nicholas's expression changed. His face tightened, his jaw clenched. "Are you spying on my internal information?"Andrian chuckled softly. "I just have connections you forgot about. But don’t worry, I’m not here to mock you. I'm here to offer help."Nicholas squinted. "At what cost?""A partnership agreement," Andrian replied calmly. "I can invest enough capital to stabilize your financial reports for the next year, on one condition—you sign an exclusive distribution agreement with my company."Nicholas shook his head. "That’s not happening. I won’t hand over control of my family business to you."Andrian leaned back, crossing his arms. "Then prepare for bankruptcy. Or worse, a forced takeover."I fell silent. My breath caught in my throat. I knew Andrian wasn’t someone to be trifled with. If he said he could take down Nicholas, he surely had a way. But seeing Nicholas cornered like this... felt wrong.N

Hazel's POVMy steps felt heavy as I left the room. Every sound of my shoes echoing on the hospital floor resonated louder in my head than in the empty corridor. It felt like every step was taking me further away from something that should have been mine—my own child.Charlie.I paused for a moment in front of the door, feeling the cold wall behind me. In my heart, I knew this decision was for the best, but the sense of loss was so painful. The sound of my heartbeat clashed with the silence, creating a melody of infinite sorrow.I looked back at the door. Behind it were all the memories, all the laughter and tears we had shared. The little things—his favorite stuffed animal, the bright-colored blanket, and the drawings he made—all lay neatly waiting to be taken back. But I couldn’t."I'm sorry, Charlie," I whispered, tears beginning to flow. There was no answer, only a silence that touched me. As if the world didn’t care about my pain.
