Chapter 12

People of modern society usually did not like to meddle in other people’s business. As an example, there were many pedestrians on the street. However, even after seeing what was going on, other than pointing and whispering among themselves, none of them lent Cecelia a helping hand.

Therefore when she heard the person’s voice, she could not believe her ears.

Cecelia looked in the direction of the voice only to see a girl who was around her age.

The girl had a white dress on, and her wavy, maroon-colored, hair was tied into a ponytail. She looked like the obedient girl-next-door.

Hawick burst out laughing. “Little girl, this is none of your business. Just step aside, buy your ice cream, and leave.”

The cougar who was still on the ground laughed as well. “Don’t be so nosy. Get lost.”

Cecelia immediately gave the girl eye contact. She was grateful that the girl intended to help her, but she did not want to drag an innocent person into her own personal affairs. After all, Hawick was not someone who was afraid of taking action.

Unexpectedly, the girl did not leave and instead smiled sweetly before saying, “Don’t blame me for not giving you a chance. 3 seconds!”

Hawick looked at her as if he was looking at an asylum patient. “I don’t need your 3 seconds. You should keep them for yourself. Don’t turn around and say that I bullied you later.”

The girl’s smile remained on her face. “Alright, I respect your decision.”

With that being said, she began walking toward Hawick, step by step.

Cecelia immediately voiced out, “Don’t... come... here...”

She was being strangled by Hawick and thus, she struggled to say each word.

The girl arched her brows at Cecelia’s direction. Although she was silent, her sparkly eyes showed no signs of fear.

Hawick clenched his teeth. “Since you wish for death, then I shall not hold back.”

He kept his grip on Cecelia’s neck while he kicked in the girl’s direction with his right leg.

Just as Cecelia had begun to feel worried for the girl, things took an unexpected 180-degree turn. Even the cougar that had been eager to see things unfold was taken aback.

The girl casually caught Hawick’s leg, and Hawick began screaming. “AHHH...”

The girl’s smile never left her face. “What’s going on? Your complexion looks worse than before. Did you accidentally pull a muscle in our leg? You should know that at your age, you should be more careful about doing difficult stunts. You’re in luck today. I know a bit of acupressure point massaging techniques. It's fate that we met today, I’ll massage you for free without any charge.”

The girl gently pinched Hawick’s, ankle and his complexion turned as pale as a ghost. “Painful, painful.”

“Painful?” The girl frowned innocently. “That’s not right. How could you feel pain? Did I press the wrong points? Let me try again. This time, I promise it won’t be painful.”

The cougar quickly got up from the ground with the intention of hitting the girl. “If you dare hurt him again, I’ll get someone to destroy...”

Before the cougar could complete her sentence, the girl slapped her.

The cougar then realized that the girl was not as soft and weak as she appeared to be. Hence, she had no choice but to quietly stand aside and curse internally.

The girl shot her a disdainful look. Subsequently, she pinched Hawick’s calf...

“AHH!” Hawick realized the situation and immediately let go of Cecelia. “Madame, it’s my mistake, please be merciful!”

The girl took a look at Cecelia who was now rubbing her neck and coughing. Her gaze turned cold, and her smile disappeared from her face. She emphasized each word as she said, “You have to pay the price for making a mistake.”

Crack! Hawick’s complexion turned from pale to red, seemingly in pain.

Cecelia looked in disbelief at the girl who had just broken Hawick’s leg.

‘She, she, she...

‘How incredible!’

If the situation permitted, Cecelia would have been happy to watch Hawick be tortured. However...
