Lilly Riverwood was the daughter of Alpha Mick and Luna Harmony Riverwood. Although she wasn’t the heir to the pack, her elder brother, Luka, was. It never fazed Lilly as she was loved by the whole pack for the most part and wasn’t power-hungry like a lot of other Alpha offspring. She loved to play the violin and became quite good at it. She became very famous in both the human and were-beast societies worldwide. However, despite all the Alpha genes and fame, Lilly was still a very level-headed and well-mannered young lady. So, she was very well respected by all who knew her.

Lilly was tall for a she-wolf at 5 foot 9, not surprising though, being the daughter of an Alpha and a high-ranking one at that, a grizzly bear of a man at 6 foot 5, and that was tall for even a male Alpha, most were only 6 feet at best. Her mother was reasonably tall, being a she-wolf standing at 5 foot 5, so Lilly should have been expected to end up on the taller side. However, most of the she-wolf population was only roughly 5 feet tall, so Lilly and her mother were unusually tall for their kind.  Her big brother Luka was now an easy 6 foot tall, and being three and a half years older than her, he was very protective of his one and only sibling. Being a sister sometimes made him overprotective and overbearing of Lilly.

It was easy to say that sometimes she felt smothered by Luka and did her best to stay out of his sight and way while they went to school together. Although there were times when she loved him for it, it could also become quite annoying.

Luka was the guy everyone wanted to be near, especially all the she-wolves, being the Alpha heir, and everyone was hoping that one of them would be his future Luna. It made Lilly gag at the thought that half of the cheer squad, past and present, couldn’t help but throw themselves at her brother. It also did nothing but piss Lilly off, as all of them were madly power-hungry, even though neither her brother nor herself were.

Luka was not just the Alpha heir; however, what most packs unmated she wolfs seen that way, she had also been the captain of the football team, school captain probably by default as it would have been highly unlikely for anyone wanting to run well against the future Alpha, well expect maybe this future Beta Kenyon aka Kenny. The guy who just loved to get under his best friend’s skin. The rest of the future Alpha unit comprised Delta Nicholas, aka Nickie, and Gamma Daniel, aka Dan. However, Delta Nickie and Gamma Dan were younger than Lilly, so they weren’t as close to Luka as Kenny was. Some of the strongest upcoming members of the pack, so everyone knew that the Riverwood pack would be in very safe hands in the future.

On the other hand, Lilly was more of a homebody between her violin practice, school, and studies. She would also help her mother, the pack’s Luna, out at the pack’s preschool. Her mother was a teacher long before she met her mate in her old pack far away in England, known as the Blue Moon Pack. Her parents were the Beta of the pack. She had three elder brothers, so their pack wouldn’t be without a Beta heir, as the titles of the rest of the Alpha unit were handed down to the eldest child unless one of the Alpha pairings was childless for one reason or another. A sibling’s child would be made the heir, or a pack member would be picked by the future Alpha once they were getting close to getting the pack handed over to them. Lilly learned a lot about how other packs were run on her travels, which her mother wanted her to do as she wanted Lilly to become a formidable Luna for her future Alpha and mate. Her mother, Luna Harmony, believed Lilly was mated to an Alpha and would become a Luna to another pack. Lilly already had all the qualities of a great Luna that any Alpha would be proud of having by their side. That much her mother was sure if she had been training her only daughter to carry out Luna's duties for a pack well, no matter what pack she would end up at. Lilly started her Luna training, which her mother had set out for her at a young age. She knew that her mother had high hopes for her, so much so that Lilly’s mother’s hopes and wishes for her became more of a burden for Lilly to bear, one that she had to carry alone, especially if it pleased her parents.

However, while she pleased her parents’ wishes, the only thing that Lilly did for herself was play the violin of her own free will since she had no friends, not that she would have had time for them if she had. Nor did she want fake friends who would only use her to get closer to her brother and heir of the pack. There were a lot of she-bitches, sorry she-wolves, that thought if they got close to Lilly, they’d either become famous themselves or the next Luna of the Riverwood pack, and most of them would only do it to do nothing more than rub into Lilly’s face that she was no more than the spare heir as it was their ultimate goal in life.

Lilly felt tears spring to her eyes at the genuine concern in his voice. She leaned forward to hug him tightly. "I promise. And thank you—for trying to understand."As they embraced, the Moon Rose's glow intensified slightly, as if approving of the sibling bond that remained strong despite the changes happening around them."I should let you rest," Luka said as they pulled apart. "It's been a long day."Lilly nodded, suddenly feeling the weight of the day's events. "It has. But Luka? Things will be okay. I don't know how I know that, but I feel it somehow that everything it going to turn out just as it was meant to.Luka got up from the side of Lilly’s bed and walked over to her desk, as he had noticed a lot of paperwork sitting upside on her desk. Her desk never looked like that so the state it was unusual. He turned the first one over it was a detailed image of a Moon Rose. Another was of three wolves with what looked like coloured auras one green to the left with amber eyes, middle

"Sleep well," Kenny said softly. "We'll see you in the morning."Axel nodded in agreement. "Rest, Lilly. We have time."She closed her door behind her, leaning against the door, knowing all too well that both Kenny and Axel were doing the same in their guest rooms for the Alpha suite.Somehow, I doubt it will be long before our brother is in here for a brother-sister talk, Ruby said.Lilly sighed, knowing Ruby was right. She crossed to her nightstand where her Moon Rose glowed softly, its petals pulsing with that strange silver-gold light. Gently, she touched one of the petals, feeling a warm response as if the flower recognised her."What are you counting down to?" she whispered. She knew that it couldn’t respond to her question, but it helped her to ask it out loud, and she knew that sooner or later, Ruby was right. Luka would come to confront her about everything. This isn’t what he should be detailing; she thought he should be focusing on his final year of high school. Making cont

Lilly shook her head. "Mine looks exactly the same. Still glowing, still... alive somehow.""Mine too," Axel confirmed. "I checked it before dinner."Luna nodded thoughtfully. "We should document any changes, no matter how small. If they truly are a countdown of sorts..."The door opened, and Alpha Mick entered with Luka. Both looked serious, their discussion clearly interrupted by their arrival at the family room."Kenny?" Lilly asked, instinctively seeking her other mate."Still with his teammates," Luka replied. "He'll join us when they're finished."Alpha Mick took a seat in his favorite chair, his presence filling the room. "We need to discuss how we'll handle this situation going forward. The pack is already curious, and Kendra's interest is... concerning.""We should establish a routine," Luna suggested, handing cups of tea to Lilly and Axel nodded.“Luka ain’t you still captain of the Riverwood Highs football team? Why didn’t you go too?” Lilly asked."I passed the captain's p

Luka nodded, keeping his expression neutral as curious eyes watched them. "We'll talk more after dinner. Somewhere private."Across the dining hall, Kendra was making her way toward Kenny's table, her movements deliberately casual. Luka tensed, watching as she slid into an empty seat beside Kenny, leaning close to speak into his ear.Kenny's posture stiffened slightly, though his face remained carefully neutral. Whatever Kendra was saying, it clearly made him uncomfortable. Luka saw Axel watching too, his knuckles white around his fork."Trouble," Luka muttered, nudging his father.Alpha Mick followed his gaze, his eyes narrowing as he observed Kendra's predatory body language. He rose from his seat with a barely perceptible nod, effectively silencing the dining hall as all eyes turned to him."I'd like to thank everyone for their concern today," he began, his voice carrying easily through the room. "As you can see, my daughter has recovered well from her temporary illness."Kendra re

"Three years," he said softly. "Three years until they're all of age and the prophecy is fulfilled."His father nodded grimly. "Three years to prepare for whatever comes next."With that they started to head back to the pack house to join the pack in for dinner and the pack dining hall. But Luka knew that he would have to confront his sister, trying to be as discreet as possible. Until they had the answers that they all needed, they couldn’t let Lilly be alone with Kenny and Axel.Luka and Alpha Mick made their way back to the pack house, both lost in thought as they approached the dining hall. The evening meal would begin soon, and they knew all eyes would be on Lilly—and by extension, Kenny and Axel."We should speak with them before dinner," Luka suggested quietly. "Make sure they understand the importance of discretion."Alpha Mick nodded, his expression grave. "Agreed. The pack will be watching closely after today's events."They found Kenny and Axel in the great room, both looki

Kenny sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "This is all so complicated," he murmured aloud.Meanwhile, in his own room, Axel was having a similar conversation with Storm.-We are linked through the Goddess's will,- Storm explained. -Shadow is my brother in spirit, just as Kenny is yours. Not rivals, not mates, but something equally powerful.-"Like family," Axel whispered, watching his Moon Rose pulse with light. "A family chosen by the Goddess herself."As the afternoon wore on, both young men drifted into restless sleep, their Moon Roses continuing their gentle rhythm beside them. In their dreams, fragments of memory from the clearing began to surface—disconnected images, echoes of words spoken in voices not quite their own. The Goddess was returning their memories, piece by piece, preparing them for what lay ahead.Three floors away, Lilly too had succumbed to exhaustion, her Moon Rose casting silver-gold shadows across her sleeping face. In her dreams, she stood in a vast
