Chapter 15

Yvonne and Blake were struck dumb. Was the Wilbur Penn that Faye mentioned the one they thought in their mind?

Just then, Wilbur sighed softly. He was not planning to reveal his identity, but he understood where Faye was coming from. She only wanted to avenge him.

Now that it had come to this, all he could do was take the stage.

Wilbur looked at Gordon and said, "Excuse me for a moment. I'll be right back."

Gordon stared at Wilbur in disbelief. Was he really the owner of Cape Consortium? If that was the case, he truly was someone extraordinary.

Wilbur walked up to the stage slowly. When Blake and Yvonne confirmed that it was really him, they both had an indescribable look on their faces.

Faye stepped to the side silently as Wilbur took the mic. He turned to look at Blake and Yvonne.

The couple trembled violently with terror in their eyes.

If Wilbur really was the owner of Cape Consortium, things would get really bad for them.

Right then, Wilbur spoke slowly, "I wasn't planning to show my face, but since Miss Yves put it that way, I'll have to say a few words to the happy couple."

Wilbur's words sent the crowd into complete silence.

The Wilbur Penn, who had been freeloading and lazing around for three years before getting kicked out, turned out to be the real boss behind Cape Consortium. Furthermore, he even showed up at the wedding.

It was unbelievable and terrifying. Some of the people in the crowd were starting to worry for Blake and the Willow family, because the true power behind Cape Consortium had been there all along.

Blake and Yvonne were already trembling badly in horror. They had no idea how Wilbur turned out to be the owner of Cape Consortium.

They had actually offended such a bigwig. How could they live a peaceful life going forward?

The thought of how Faye had gone about investing in Woods Corporate struck Blake all of a sudden, and sweat started trickling down his forehead as dread and a deep fear crept into his chest.

Yvonne could not stop shaking. Wilbur's real identity turned out to be so terrifying. She could not have been more of an idiot for divorcing him.

With how powerful Wilbur truly was, she could hardly imagine what would happen if he were to get back at the Willow family.

The couple grew more and more fearful, but Wilbur merely smiled. "Here, I'd like to wish the newly married couple a happy and fulfilling life together for the rest of their days. Thank you, everyone."

After his speech, Wilbur smiled at Blake and Yvonne before walking off the stage and returning to his seat.

Blake and Yvonne were so shocked that they were tongue-tied. The host was in a daze as well, unsure of what to do from there.

Just then, Faye came up to the microphone with a solemn expression. "We just received a call from our representatives on Woods Corporate's board of directors. Woods Corporate's finances are a mess, and they have been committing tax fraud. Our team has called the police and also informed the board of directors. They have unanimously voted for Blake Woods to be stripped of his position as a director."

"You can't do that!"

Blake finally understood why Faye had agreed to invest in Woods Corporate so easily and why a large number of people joined the board of directors.

He had fallen into their trap from the very start. All that talk about financial supervision was just an excuse. What she had wanted to do was to kick him out and take over Woods Corporate.

That evil woman had lied to him without feeling the slightest bit of guilt. She even claimed that Cape Consortium would hardly care about a company as small as Woods Corporate. To top it all off, he actually fell for it!

Blake rushed up to Faye, pointing at her with his hand shaking. "This is a trap, an evil trap! Woods Corporate is mine. None of you are getting it!"

Faye smiled and responded, "Is that so? We're using completely legal methods here. You can very well sue me if you have a problem with it."

"You!" Blake was so angry that he spat out blood.

Yvonne panicked at the sight, saying, "Miss Yves, you can't do this. On what grounds are you firing Blake?"
