Selena sat next to me on a log as we looked over a golden pond and continued, “Linden’s stepmother is not going to stop until he is dead. She refuses to allow a child that is not hers in her family. She will not rest until she has her way.” I asked, “Will she try to kill him here at my home?” Selene replied, “Only if his father brings her to see him. She does not know where he lives now.” I sighed, “Good. I will make sure he knows this. I also know that we will have to let his dad know that she is not welcome at our home.” I sighed, “I guess this just means life still hasn’t settled down. I’m not so sure it will. Oh wait! How is this thing with Linden’s mom going to affect my babies?” She smiled, “Your babies will be fine. They have too many protectors to allow anything to happen to them. So, now that I have told you all that I need to tell you, I will let you sleep, my child. Just rest for tonight. Life will resume when you wake.”
