The Witch's Window: Ch. 82

Linden was out of breath when he teleported to our dining room, “Calista, come here.” Calista’s eyes went wide and she ran to her Uncle Linden, “What’s the matter? Are you okay?” Linden wrapped his arms around her and he sobbed. Calista’s arms wrapped around his neck and she was patting his back as she tried to comfort him, “I’m sorry. Are you okay, Uncle Linden?”

When Linden finally settled down to the point where he could speak coherently, he let go of Calista and sat at the table with the rest of us. Calista stood in her chair and held her hands up, “Everybody, STOP! Uncle Linden! Answer my Question!” We all raised our eyebrows at her and Elliot chuckled, “Uncle Linden, please answer her question. She is genuinely worried about you.” Linden put Calista on his lap and snuggled her as he replied, “I’m okay now. If it hadn’t been for this little girl’s warning, I wouldn’t be.” We all furrowed our brows at him as I asked, “What do you mean?” Linden sighed, “I teleported there, and my d
