Maya sat alone on a park bench near her closed boutique, her eyes still red from crying. Her studio was gone—just like that. The place she had poured her heart into, where she had started over after the divorce, was now an empty shell. All her beautiful gowns and sketches were packed away in boxes, some damaged, some lost.

She had fought so hard to rebuild her life. For a while, it felt like things were finally looking up. New clients had started coming in. Elias’s grandmother had supported her. She had been invited to an important banquet. And for once, she had felt proud of herself again.

But now… everything had come crashing down.

Her phone buzzed in her hand. She didn’t want to answer it, but when she glanced at the screen, the name made her freeze.

Daniel.

For a moment, she thought about ignoring the call. She didn’t want to hear his voice. But something told her to answer.

With a shaky breath, she pressed the phone to her ear. “What do you want, Daniel?”

He chuckled on the other

  • Longing For My Ex-Wife   The Face in the Memory

Maya sat quietly in the backseat of Elias’s car, her fingers clenched tightly in her lap. The city passed by outside the window, but she barely noticed. Her heart beat fast, her mind filled with questions. Today, she was finally going to meet the man who had confessed to switching the babies at the hospital years ago. When Elias told her about him, she had felt a mixture of fear and hope. This man might know the truth—might have the final piece that could explain how her child had been taken from her. Elias had arranged the meeting carefully, making sure it was private and safe. The man had agreed to talk, but only in person. They arrived at a quiet neighborhood. Elias led Maya into a small house. An older man sat on a worn-out sofa. His face was tired, his eyes filled with guilt. He stood up slowly when he saw them.“This is her?” he asked Elias.Elias nodded. “This is Maya.”The man looked at Maya with regret. “I never thought I’d see you. I’m sorry for what I did. I’ve lived with t

  • Longing For My Ex-Wife   A Truth Revealed

Maya sat quietly in Elias’s guest room, her knees pulled up to her chest as she stared blankly at the wall. The soft hum of the city outside the window felt distant, almost like it belonged to another world. Her heart was heavy. Her studio—the one place where she had started to find herself again—was gone. Her dream, her hard work, everything had been tossed out like it meant nothing. She had tried to be strong for so long. Tried to rebuild her life piece by piece. But now, it all felt like it was crumbling again.A knock sounded gently on the door, followed by the quiet creak as it opened. Elias stepped inside, carrying a tray with food and tea. He moved slowly, as if not wanting to disturb the fragile silence around her.“I brought you something,” he said softly. “You didn’t eat anything today.”Maya didn’t respond at first. Her eyes flicked to the tray, then back to the wall. Her voice came out barely above a whisper. “I’m not hungry.”Elias set the tray on the nightstand and sat

  • Longing For My Ex-Wife   Chaos in the Studio

The day had started like any other. Maya was at her boutique early, arranging fabrics, checking sketches, and preparing for her client’s fitting. Her studio had finally begun to attract more attention. After the birthday banquet, word about the gown Elias’s grandmother wore had spread, and more customers were starting to reach out to Maya for custom designs. She stood by the window, straightening a mannequin’s gown, when the bell above the door rang softly.A woman in her fifties stepped in, dressed in a navy-blue suit and carrying a folder under her arm. Her expression was calm and composed, but her eyes sparkled with curiosity.“Hello,” Maya greeted warmly. “Welcome. How can I help you?”The woman smiled politely. “Good morning. I’m Mrs. Collins. I have an event coming up in a few months, and I heard your designs are elegant and unique. I thought I’d visit to see your work for myself.”Maya nodded. “You’re in the right place. I design every piece here with care. If you don’t mind, I

  • Longing For My Ex-Wife   Apprentice

The sewing machine whirred softly in the corner of the boutique. Maya stood by the fitting table, carefully trimming the edge of a sleeve she had just finished stitching. Fabric rolls lined the shelves, threads of every color hung neatly in place, and the warm scent of fresh coffee filled the air from the cup sitting nearby. Her hands moved with practiced ease, but her mind wandered. After everything that had happened—the banquet, the stares, the whispers—she still found peace in this space. It was her sanctuary, a place where every stitch calmed her heart and every design reminded her that she had something to offer the world.Business had slowly picked up since the party. A few wealthy guests had quietly reached out, wanting dresses like the one Elias’s grandmother had worn. Maya didn’t expect it, but it made her smile. She hadn’t asked for recognition, but it felt good to be noticed for her talent—for her hard work. She was finishing a sketch when the bell above the boutique door j

  • Longing For My Ex-Wife   Whispers of the Past

The day after the banquet was quiet, but Maya’s heart was still full. She stood inside her boutique, carefully folding fabrics and adjusting a dress on one of the mannequins. Her thoughts kept drifting back to the night before—how Elias had stood up for her, how his grandmother had been kind, and how the other guests had looked at her with respect instead of pity. The moment she had walked into the banquet hall, dressed in the gown Elias had given her, she felt like someone else. Strong. Confident. Beautiful. For a long time, she had hidden behind pain and heartbreak, but last night reminded her that she was more than her past. She was rebuilding herself, one step at a time. The bell over the boutique door jingled.“Hello?” a woman’s voice called softly.Maya turned around with a polite smile. “Good morning. How can I help you?”Two elegantly dressed women stepped inside. One of them carried a clutch bag that looked like it cost more than Maya’s old car. The other was older, wearing p
