Around the time Zenoch and the Renaldo Brothers arrived at Del Cealus, Ishida and his friends were departing Master Aram’s farm for King Rexius’ palace.
“Why can’t I go too? Grandma Nina said that I’m a big boy now,” Jameck whined.
“Mrs. Sakai will take good care of you,” Master Aram told the boy. “You’re too young to come along— the mountains are very dangerous. Even a master sage like me injured myself several times while going over them. Falling rocks, avalanches, and snowstorms aren’t hard to find on those mountains. The best for you is to stay here.”
“What makes you want to go with us?” Ishida asked.
