Stephan (Alpha Eric’s Head of Security / Southern Territory)

“I looked at the tape fifty times. It’s her, Eric. No matter how much you don’t want it to be, it is.” Eric circles the table I’m sitting at, trying to rattle me, but the answer isn’t going to change.

“How did she even find him? Do you know how difficult this will make things?” Eric picks my coffee mug up and throws it against the wall. I try to hide my annoyance, I really wanted that coffee.

“Does it really matter how she found him? My guess is she’s mated to him. It makes sense, two kids of royal blood from different regions. They are destined for one another. It will make it much more difficult for you to get your hands on him though. We are in no position to take down Roman and his army.”

Eric has everyone around him scared shitless. There is no loyalty, only fear. But, fear makes a man do the unthinkable. It makes people do irrational things, emotionally driven things, and unpredictable things. It’s dangerous to have an army of scared-to-death soldiers who will do whatever it takes to save their loved ones.

My phone rattles on the table and I see a new text message from Mamoru, but I’ve called him Ru since we were in kindergarten.

Tell Eric the girl is secured.

It’s been two days. What the hell am I supposed to do with her?

She is pissed off.

I know she won’t do what he asks.

He will wind up killing this girl.

I open the picture he sent and a beautiful tiny little thing is standing there. She is exactly Eric’s type, but she has fire in her eyes. Eric will most likely kill this one too.

“What are you looking at?” Eric snatches my phone from me and looks at the girl.

“Your next pet, sir. She has been secured in your room.” I say emotionless. I want to care, but there is just nothing left in me anymore. Ever since my mate, my beautiful Sadia, was raped and murdered by a rogue I feel nothing. I never told anyone that she was pregnant either. Not a single soul knew that, and I died the day my family did. We even had a name for my little guy. Little Ben.

I tried taking my own life, but that isn’t something my wolf will allow. So, I numbly exist. If I’m lucky I’ll piss off Eric enough to get him to kill me.

“I like her.” is all he says about the matter and hands me back the phone.

Another text comes through and I flip my phone to silent and shove it into my pocket.

“Well, at least we know where my nephew is. Let’s give them some distance, let them get comfortable, and then when they are feeling safe, we can grab him. He’ll be alone at some point. I want you to stay here, keep an eye out for him.”

I look up and I’m relieved that he isn’t talking to me. I have no desire to stay here. The two he is talking to nod in agreement and I get up from the table, ready to leave.

“So, we will go back home then?” I ask.

“Yes, tonight.”

When Eric leaves I pull out my phone and shoot a quick text back to Ru.

We will be back tonight.

The girl isn’t my problem, and there isn’t shit you can do for her.

Tell her to keep her mouth shut and do what Eric says.

She’s basically fucked either way.

I see the little dots flash and in a few seconds, I get a reply.

You are a heartless prick, you know that?

Stef, this girl is a child. Seventeen maybe.

Eric is going to tear her apart and you don’t give a fuck?

He will break her spirit, and then he’ll kill what’s left.

How dare he mention her name to me. I take the phone and toss it on the bed.

Angie's POV

“You need to eat.”

The asshole that put me in here slides a tray of food through a skinny horizontal slat at the bottom of the door. He has been in to check on me every couple of hours.

“I don’t need to do shit,” I shout at him.

“Whatever. You should know that Alpha Eric is coming back tonight.”

I still at his words. I don’t know who this Eric person is, but from what I gather, he is the one in charge, and he isn’t nice. He sounds like a monster.

“What does he want with me?” I ask, afraid of the answer.

0

“You are currently in a cage, in his bedroom. What do you think he wants? Because whatever it is, you’re wrong. It’s much worse.”

He walks over to me and sits beside the cage on the bed. “If you obey him, if you do everything he says and let him do whatever he wants, you’ll last much longer.”

“I’ll fight him with everything I have.” I can hear my own voice tremble as I say the words and he just shakes his head.

“He is the King of the South. An Alpha in one of the strongest packs in the world. What Eric wants he gets. Give him what he wants and be obedient. It’s your only hope.”

“Is he - is he going to -” I don’t get the words out before he cuts me off.

“You are his pet. He intends to make you his plaything until he tires of you and sells you off, or kills you. He’s asked that I put these on you before he gets here.”

He holds up a pair of handcuffs and my heart drops to the floor.

“You wouldn’t. I won’t allow it!” I scream at him as he gets up and unlocks the cage door. He comes at me fast and grabs my wrist, making quick work to fasten the handcuff around it. He threads the other cuff around the bars that are near the top and clasps the cold steel around my other wrist, stringing me up in the middle of the cage.

“How can you do this!? You’re a coward! You’re just going to leave me here at his mercy? Fuck you!” He walks out of the cage and locks the door again as if it matters now. “What would your mother or father say? You are a pathetic excuse of a man, or whatever the fuck you are!”

He turns to me, and he won’t make eye contact with me.

“Eric killed my father and he has my son. I’m sorry, but there isn’t anything I can do for you.”

He leaves the room and suddenly I realize that this Eric person is more evil than I thought. I panic and start to thrash against the cuffs, but there is no way for me to escape. Tears start to well up as I think about the very worst scenarios my imagination can conjure up.

As time passes, my fear only intensifies and I keep seeing the wolf creature in my head. Every scenario I think of ends in my death, and I can’t help but scream hysterically for anyone to hear me. But for hours there is only silence.

My head jolts up when I hear voices, and then the door opens and a man walks in and slams it shut behind him. I can’t take my eyes off him as he takes off his coat and tosses it over the chair. This man is big, but not like the one that has been checking on me. No, this man looks like he’s carved from stone. He’s incredibly tall with black curly hair that goes just above his shoulders. His arms are covered in tattoos and when he sees me bile rises from my stomach, sickening me.

“Ah, my new little pet.” He gives me an evil smile and it is so terrifying that I have no words.

I watch him kick off his shoes, and he takes his shirt off revealing more tattoos and several scars across his chest.

“I’m going to shower little pet, and then we can get to know each other, sound good?” He disappears into the bathroom and my entire body starts to tremble. I try hopelessly to get my wrists free, panicking as each second ticks by, and when I hear the water turn off my heart jumps into overdrive and I can feel each heartbeat ring through me.

He comes out and has a towel wrapped around his waist, and irrationally I wonder where they get towels big enough for a guy like this. But the ridiculous thought lasts only a second.

“Sorry to make you wait so long,” he says and I just stare at him as he unlocks the cage and comes toward me. He takes a good look at me before he brings his face beside my neck and inhales, making me want to vomit.

“You are exactly my type. What’s your name, pet?” He asks, but there is no way in hell I’ll ever tell him. Instead, I spit on him, but I get no reaction. He doesn’t even wipe it off.

“Fuck. You. Asshole. You’re not my type.” I say and he laughs at me.

“Yes, that is exactly what you are going to do. Now, name please,” he says and his voice has a menacing edge to it, but I still don’t answer.

“Fine. I don’t need you to have a name. But I do want to see what my new pet looks like.”

I tilt my head to the side, unsure of what he is saying, and he comes within an inch of my face and grabs my t-shirt. In one swift movement, he rips it off of me and I begin to scream and twist to get away from him. He wraps his gigantic arm around my waist and pulls me close to him. He takes his other hand and grips my chest and I can’t help but start to beg for him to let me go in between screaming for him to stop.

“You will learn that I don’t like my toys to be noisy.” He leaves me and goes to the dresser by his bed and then comes back with something in his hand.

“For now this is how we will train you to shut up.”

My eyes get wide when I see a roll of tape in his hand and I just start to scream louder, but he grabs me by the hair and shoves some kind of cloth in my mouth, and tapes over it.

He forces my head up and stares at me as I try and plead with this monster through the gag.

“We are going to have a little fun tonight.” He puts both of his hands on my chest and feels every inch of my torso, and then to my horror he goes down to my pants and begins to unbutton them. I can barely breathe between sobs, and I realize that this horrific beast is going to keep me here and do whatever he wants. He slips his hand down my pants and I try and kick my leg up to push him off me.

“Oh, you will be fun to break,” he says, but before he can continue there is a knock at the door.

“Go the fuck away!” He shouts, but the knocking gets louder.

“Let me in. The girl isn’t clean.” A voice shouts from the other side, and this sick fucker backs up and walks to the door letting the man in.

“What are you talking about?” Eric shouts and the stranger comes over, not even shocked to see me, and points at me.

“This girl, her tests came back. She isn’t clean. Good fucking thing I checked.” The man glances at me quickly but doesn’t look me in the eye.

“Why was she brought up here if she wasn’t checked beforehand?” he asks, clearly angry.

0

“How the fuck would I know. Give me the keys, I need to take her to the infirmary and get her meds and cleaned up.”

“How long will that take?” Eric comes to me again and plays with my breasts in front of this man and it repulses me. His hands feel like maggots against my skin and I can’t help but cry as he touches me. “I like this one.”

“Couple of days. I’ll have her brought back up once she is cleaned up, then you can do whatever you want.”

This new guy takes the keys and unlocks only one hand from the cuffs. My arms ache as they are brought down, but he roughly pulls them together again and fastens them in front of me.

“I want a debrief on the status of our plans tomorrow. Understood? And I want to know the second that my nephew is left alone.” The horrific man says.

“Yes, sir.”

Half naked and terrified the man grabs my wrists and pulls me out of the room. We pass the two men in front of the door, and he pulls me down the stairs. I’m humiliated as he pulls me through the kitchen, where everyone can see me, but not a single soul acknowledges me or tries to help as I try and scream.

“Let’s go, through here.” The man shoves me outside and we walk into the forest where we disappear into the black of night. Once we are out of sight, he takes off his jacket and wraps it around me and I am not only terrified but completely confused.

After walking for some time my eyes adjust to the night, and I can see a structure in the distance. The closer we get to it I can see that it is a little run-down cabin that looks over a small lake. If I hadn’t been kidnapped and almost raped, I might appreciate the beauty of the little place.

The man unlocks a massive padlock that is wrapped around the door handles and he pushes it open. Inside is a quaint living room with a fireplace and a small kitchen. There’s a ladder that goes up to some kind of loft, I assume it’s a bedroom.

“Stay.” the man says to me, and he fishes through a drawer and starts to light lanterns around the room.

“Are you going to scream? I’ll take this off, but if you scream I’m going to put it right back on, but much tighter. So, are you going to make a good choice?”

I nod my head furiously and he carefully takes the tape off my mouth and I spit the rag out.

“A-Are you going to hurt me?” I ask between sobs.

0

“No. Hold on.”

He walks to a closet and pulls out a sweatshirt, when he comes back to me he unlocks the cuffs. “Put this on.” He says, and I quickly cover myself.

“Where am I? What is this place?” But he doesn’t answer my questions.

“You are in very deep shit. Sit.” He points to the couch and I hesitate but do what he asks. He grabs my hand and takes the handcuffs and slaps one on my wrist and the other around the spindle of the couch. I don’t say anything, and I just crawl as tight into the corner of the cushions as I possibly can.

“How fucking old are you?” He asks and I answer, tears still streaming down my face.

“Seventeen. I turn eighteen in a few months.”

“Christ, you’re a child. He’s a fucking sick bastard.” The man comments to himself. “Human virgin?” he asks and it takes me off guard, but I answer.

“Yes.”

He gets up and goes into the kitchen, and I grab the wooden spindle that I’m attached to while he isn’t looking to see if I can break it loose, but it won’t budge. He comes back with a mug and hands it to me.

“Water.” I take it and drink it almost in one gulp.

He doesn’t say anything else to me. He hands me a blanket and then he just sits in a chair by the fireplace. After a while, I pretend to fall asleep, and about an hour or two later I peek through the blanket and watch him get up. He picks up a picture frame that houses the photo of a woman and he just stares at it.

“I miss you so much, Sadia. What am I going to do now?” He says and presses the photo against his chest. Even though I’m still trapped, this is the safest I have felt in weeks. I don’t think this man intends to hurt me, so I let my guard down and I fall asleep.
