Leo - 17 years laterIt’s lunchtime, the dreaded hour where I’m left in a mostly uncontrolled environment without much supervision. Elise's POVI smile uncontrollably and I study him for a minute. He’s listening to headphones, but they are old ones, the kind my parents had, and he has a cassette tape player on the table. He’s flipping through papers and taking notes. I walk in and the little bells go off over the door. I notice him look up, but I go to the counter first and grab two coffees before I walk toward him. Elise's POVThe room is buzzing after the meeting and I’m feeling sick to my stomach.
