Chapter twenty one.

Odessa slammed the book shut and gave both of them a cold piercing glare. They stopped moving momentarily. 

“What?” Odessa had decided to end the obvious malice instead of reading nothing in pretence of concentrating.

She dropped the book on her lap and glared at them for a longer time. 

“You took a long while to get her here Zane. Why? And I didn't hear a report from you.” Odessa knew there was no use to her question, they were already here, and that's all that mattered.

“Getting into the palace wasn't easy under the watchful eyes of their sorcerer. I thought it wise to go in and get out. Not to go in again.” He answered, straightening himself.

“You still haven't attended the first point I raised, you could have brought her out immediately you found the book.” Odessa pushed further.

“She had herself put in a cell... Her father felt she was... Stubborn.” He sneered.
