"Tom, can we stop for a moment at Gustoso Italian? I'm really in the mood for gnocchi," said Leah, her eyes stared at Tom from the rearview mirror.

Tom thumped the steering wheel with his fingers. Confused.

"What's the matter? Did Jerome tell you to take me straight to the Penthouse?" asked Leah with no surprise.

Tom cleared his throat, "No problem, I'll take you there Ma'am," Tom decided, at last. He would be waiting right at the exit, Leah wouldn't be able to run anywhere anyway.

"Great! Thanks!" Leah threw her gaze to the window, observing the traffic jams of New York City for the last time. 

She sighed heavily. Everything felt like a dream. How could her ordinary life turn out to be this dramatic? Suddenly Leah missed the past five years of her life when things were still so good.
