"You're awake." Lui Xian enquired after noticing the white haired male being fidgety in the quilts. He watched Feng Shao sit up straight. And stretched his arms while yawning. It looked quite cute. He quietly put the tattered book away, then faced him planning to talk to him. Feng Shao on the other hand did not feel like talking to him. He glanced anywhere but him. That's when he spotted a closed pot at one corner. And the aroma of the meat tickled his nose and made his mouth water with saliva. Some ended up leaking at one side. His stomach followed growling making him feel ashamed as he looked down on his lap."I made some food. Here, have some." If it was earlier on he would have refused but now he didn't care for his dignity at all. He accepted the bowl which was filled with soup and a piece of roasted meat at the side. The moon took its place overhead, Lui Xian reached for the knife and retrieved it before handing it over to Feng Shao who received it joyfully. He held it carefully, and ran his fingers on the blade, feeling the smooth surface, as the memories he had of it flashed in his mind. A little while later, Lui Xian led the way inside the little cabin where a lamp lit every corner. Feng Shao sat by his tacky desk and started painting a peach blossom tree. Lui Xian on the other hand, stood on one side observing his every movements. Watching him paint every stroke. "Since when did you start painting?" He couldn't stop himself from asking. "Hmm. Since I was fifteen years old. I really liked the smell of the paint and also how free I felt. It made me feel delighted. It still does." Feng Shao answered. He didn't look away from his work. 'Does he always cry when he is drunk?' Lui Xian wondered whilst watching Feng Shao with tears flowing like two rivers on his cheeks. He clutched tightly at the now empty wine pot. At first glance, Lui Xian had seen all this as quite funny. But then when Feng Shao started lamenting about some parts of his past, he found it not funny anymore. "My home was destroyed. The village too." "My home....village....I...I....I." Lui Xian moved a little closer to the drunk fella and gently stroke his back. Consoling him when he started crying. "Hey, it's okay. Huff Huff Feng Shao felt out of breath after running after Lui Xian who at the moment was chasing after the pink-dressed man in the dark. He felt his legs unable to take another step. He was rid of all the energy he had been keeping in store during the day. His forehead had little drops of sweat that were fanned by the moving air. His chest moved up and down reminding him to exercise more in the near future. It was a wonder why he weighed less and managed to have a slim body for this long. Thinking about it he could only thank the herbs that he takes in regularly. Those helped him to stay healthy at least. "I lost him." Lui Xian told Feng Shao who had just collapsed on the ground after running and straining his not too fit physic chasing after these two lunatics. Every bone in his body had a tingling sensation and his muscles had gotten numb. "I don't care what happened just get me out of here. I can't take any step from here. Come on carry me." Once again. Nighttime had overshadowed the village, tempering with their behaviour as they got hyper as if they were celebrating something. The night sky was filled with beautiful lights that seemed to be flying at a radius afar from where they were popped. Lui Xian and Feng Shao stood amongst this scene, searching for their storyteller. Their eyes struggled to catch his figure. As the streets buzzed with drunkards, kids holding kites and women dressed up with lanterns in their hands. "Are we going to stand here for the whole night? Lui, I am starting to feel sleepy. We will find him tomorrow morning." Feng Shao complained turning away and heading towards the inn. With nothing to do, Lui Xian followed behind him. Lui Xian tried very hard to budge the door open but to no avail. He had nowhere to go. Or any money to book another room. All he could do was keep on knocking, driving Feng Shao crazy. He kept on it for twenty minutes before he gave up and went to drink the remaining wine that was still left on the table a while ago. It was still plenty, touching the middle walls of the wine pot. He poured a few cups and gulped all of it down his throat. Not even feeling the burning sensation of the wine on the inner walls of his oesophagus. It felt like he was taking in water.
