Chapter 2: The Confrontation

I get into my beige BMW with blush pink leather seats and a black interior. A gift from my father for accepting this arranged marriage. I put my car into drive and went straight to my father's house to explain my situation and seek guidance.

After 15 minutes I arrive at my father's house. I use my key to get in and find my father at the table with his new wife, Miranda. She was a tall yet slim woman with creamy white skin, short raven black hair that made her blue eyes pop.

Miranda and my father are not fated mates. His fated mate was my mother, Serenity Simmons. My mother was a beautiful woman. She was around 5'4 with beautiful dark skin, hazel eyes, black curly hair and a smile that could light up what ever room she walked into. She passed away 4 months after I turned 20.

After 4 years my father met Miranda, they hit it off because they shared something that not many other people had experienced. Miranda's fated mate passed away as well. I'm not sure what happened to him because Miranda and I don't really talk much. I'm happy for my father but seeing him with anyone other than my mother just reminded me that she was gone.

When my father sees me he greets me with a warm smile and a bear hug. Which helps relieve the hurt and anxiety I am currently feeling.

"Daddy can I speak with you for a moment?" I asked him in hopes of having this conversation in private

"Of course! Miranda was about to head to work anyway." He says as he turns to kiss her and hug her goodbye.

Miranda turns to leave but before she walks out she says "It's always nice to see you Adeline"

"Oh yes, I'm soo sorry just a lot on my mind. I hope your day is better to you than mine has been." I say to her as she heads out the door. I barely noticed that I didn't speak to her. Once she leaves my father turns to me and gestures for me to sit down at the table with him.

"Is everything okay babydoll?" He asks with the most gentle and warming voice I've heard all day. Babydoll is the nickname my mom gave me. She said that I was the most perfect thing she has ever made. Her real life baby doll.

" I think Ezra is cheating on me Daddy and I don't know what to do." I say as I start sobbing. I'm not sure why I'm crying. He doesn't love me and I don't love him. But to betray me and our fathers' wishes hurts me to my core.

"How do you know this babydoll?" He asks me as he tries to fight back his anger.

"I have been experiencing an unbearable pain in my chest that would bring me to my knees. It will last for about 2 hours and it started happening 2 months ago. It happened right before I headed here. Susan and Simon were there and told me the pain I was experiencing was betrayal pains." I explained to him with tears in my eyes and anger burning my throat.

" I'm so sorry babydoll. I'm sorry that I made you marry him and I'm sorry that because of me you are experiencing pain you don't deserve." He said as he held me while I cried.

After spending a few hours with my father in the home that I grew up in. I decided to look for Ezra and confront him. I head to the pack house, which is where the Alpha and Luna should reside but I wanted the family home with the garden and the picket fence. Which only irritated Ezra. Most nights he stayed here at the pack house, his excuse was that he needed to take care of pack business and it's easier to stay there than come home.

" I'm gonna rip his throat from his body as soon as I see him!" Sage says to me with hate and anger dripping from her words.

"He better not be with the bitch that he's cheating with or I swear before the Selene that I will kill her." I say back to Sage with the same hate and anger burning my throat.

I get to the pack house and I storm inside. Once I get to his office door I experience the pain once again but it was so quick that I knew all he did was kiss her. I kicked the door in which fuels Sage's rage, the green in my eyes are glowing which shows that my wolf is right under the surface.

Once the door is open I see a woman on top on my husbands lap! Before I can think about it I lunge forward and grab a handful of this woman's hair and throw her to the floor. My eyes blinded by rage that I barely noticed who is under me after I start laying a few punches Ezra pulls me off of her. Ezra is 6'1 which takes me off the ground since I'm only 5'3.

Once I'm in the air I look down and my mouth drops as I realized who I was attacking.
