Chapter 3: The Confrontation Continued

Miranda is lying on her back staring up at me with fear in her in her beady blue eyes.

" You stupid bitch! How dare you cheat on my father?! WITH MY HUSBAND AT THAT!" I say as I'm trying my hardest to get out of Ezra's hold.

"I'm sorry, please don't hit me again!" Miranda pleads with me as she begins to stand.

Ezra releases me and stands in front on Miranda. He looks at me with an unreadable expression which only pisses me and Sage off.

"Don't worry baby my dear wife won't be telling him or anyone anything." Ezra says with a smug look on his face that makes me land a clean right hook against it.

With Ezra being a powerful Alpha and all my hit barely causes him to react. He adjusts himself and looks me in my eyes.

"Miranda is my second chance mate. And since you caused me to lose my first mate I will not be losing her." He says with spite intertwined with his words.

My mouth drops and I shoot a glance at Miranda who is cowering behind Ezra. While I stand here and try to process what is happening I mindlink my father and his.

No less than 5 mins comes in our former Alpha Desmond and my father.

"What the hell is going on here?!" Alpha Desmond's says in a tone that almost makes me cower since he is using his Alpha command.

"Your piece of a shit son is sleeping with Miranda. My father's Wife." I say calmly while the storm is brewing beneath my skin.

"Babydoll I know you're angry but there's no way Miranda is the woman Ezra is sleeping with." My father says in a tone of disbelief.

"Tell him now you worthless whore!" I scream at Miranda as I'm slowly starting to lose control to Sage.

"You- You- You never marked me. Which I don't know why but is gave me the chance to find my second chance mate. Franklin I'm sorry but I couldn't fight the bond I love him." She says with a bit more confidence since she isn't speaking to me like the weak bitch she is.

"Are you kidding me?! So because I never marked you it gave you the reason to sleep with my son- in- law?!" My dad said with a tone of disgust mixed with hatred.

"No but he was sent to me by the moon goddess. How can I walk away from that?" She asked my father.

Before he could respond Sage sends toward Miranda and I land another punch which causes her to hit the ground. Ezra rushes to her side and looks up to me.

" I, Ezra Blackwood, the Alpha of the Blackwood Bay pack, reject you Adeline Simmons from the Blackwood Bay pack." He says coldly as I fall to my knees holding my chest. I can feel the bond break.

My skin where his mark is begins to burn. Being rejected by a mate fated or not is a painful process. I stand as is mark starts fading along with the pain.

"I, Adeline Simmons of the Blackwood Bay Pack, accept your rejection." I say firmly fighting back the tears in my eyes.

Ezra turned to me and my father and said in his Alpha command. "You will both stay here in the pack until our divorces are finalized."

"Great and then I will no longer be tied to a cunt like you. I'm going to keep my house in the pack until our divorce then I will be leaving. I won't stay in a pack that has a piece of shit for an Alpha.

I storm out of the pack house and get in my car. Once I get to my house I submit to Sage and let her run until the sun starts to go down. Sage brings us home and I get in the shower. The water is running off my skin and I began to drown in my thoughts.

Now that everything has come to light I'm actually relieved. I wanted to find my fated mate since Sage came forward and she has desperately wanted to same. She has never liked Ezra or his wolf so she has always had the blocked from feeling my feelings or being able to hear my thoughts. Sage doesn't see them as our mate to she says they don't deserve that access to us.

Once I finish washing up I sit on the edge of my bed in the master bedroom of the house. I stayed in the master since this is my house and Ezra was hardly ever here anyway. I zone out for a few minutes until my phone dings with a notification from my calendar. I glance down and let out the deepest groan I could muster.

CALENDAR: 25TH BIRTHDAY MASQUERADE BALL

Shit how can I forget my own birthday I say to myself.

" Kinda easy to forget thanks to that bastard Ezra." Sage says back to me trying to ease my nerves. Before I can respond to her my phone dings again.

TEXT MESSAGE FROM EZRA: "We are still married and I have invited Alphas from different packs here for your ball and for us to discuss Alpha business. You will be there until this divorce is final and I can marry my mate and make her Luna!"

That piece of shit! He will have to compensate me for suffering through anything that has to do with Luna or pack duties. I am only his wife because a divorce takes 30 days to finalize and we have already filed the papers. Helps that he is the Alpha and can have them filed expeditiously.

"You will have to pay me 300,000 for every event or anything that relates to pack matters to receive my cooperation. Let me not remind you that you cheated on me and I owe you nothing!" I respond back to Ezra.

My phone dings immediately after the texts sends. TEXT MESSAGE FROM EZRA: "Fine."

Sage purrs in agreement. This will allow me to buy my way into another Alphas pack. I'm not hurting for money since I am the former Beta's daughter. But this does allow to get some revenge while setting me up for an easy transition.
