Chapter 27
Tuesday's training was even harder that Monday. Landrews paced in front of the four of them as he pinpointed their weaknesses.
"Zachary." He began, stopping in front of him with his hands behind his back. "You need confidence. You also need to stop using the same obvious moves when you fight. Why do you think Celus could dodge you so easily?" Zachary just nodded, accepting the criticism.
"Elijah." He moved over in front of the blonde with the same judgemental look on his face. "You're too cocky. Brady was able to catch you by surprise because you already assumed you won. Never underestimate your apponent." Elijah growled lowly but nodded.
"Brady." His eyebrow raised as he looked over Celus' Beta. "You lack confidence as well. You are worried you're not good enough for this." Brady's eyes shot up to Celus then back to Landrews. "You're stronger than you think, yet you are willing to give up so easily." Landrews shook his head and moved in front of Celus.

While the guys were off training for the day, Salen made the decision to hang out with Suzanne from the other afternoon. She was busy baking in the kitchen with some of the chefs and other pack wives.Her face brightened when she spotted Salen walking into the room. "Salen!" One week of training had gone by, and Celus and Brady were improving rapidly. Fighting against Zachary and Elijah was now no problem for them, and the training uniforms became natural to wear."Today we are going to fit you for our actual armor. "You did well with the training gear, rather quickly might I add, so I want you to get used to this new equipment." He reached up and pulled two sets of gear from the wall and tossed them to Celus and Brady.Brady held up the armor to himself with wide eyes. "This is a lot heavier." Celus dismissed himself from Andrew and crossed the clearing to be by Salen's side. If Kristopher and Henry were planning something, he wanted to make sure she stayed safe in all of it. Celus paced frantically as warriors rushed around him. Landrews had gotten a lot of men to help with the proposal as he wanted it to be a big thing for everyone.Celus' heart raced as he felt his hands begin to sweat. Proposing to Salen was huge, but the added anxiety of Brady and Landrews taking control made him want to pass out."Are you ready for this?" Brady asked from behind him. He sighed, holding his head in his hands.

"Cheers to the happy couple!" Landrews announced, holding his glass of champagne in the air. When he said he was going to plan things, he really went overboard.He not only had the proposal planned, which they ended up not using, but he had a party waiting for them when they got back to the castle. Landrews requested the presence of Brady and Celus early the next morning. He was sitting in his office working on paperwork when they found him."You wanted to see us?" Celus asked with slight annoyance. He left Salen in their bed still fast asleep. The decorating of the castle began after Landrews' announcement to his pack. Most were thrilled for their future under the new monarchy, and they believed he could do good for his people.Salen stood along Celus' side as he continued his training and learned anything that would be important for him before he took over. That included the names and locations of all of the packs and leaders that he would rule over.Celus ran his hand lightly over the worn map that draped over Landrews' desk. His pack title along with his sirname was printed in cursive ink over a large plot of land not far from the kingdom. Tne next morning went by in a blur. Castle staff were busy helping Celus and Brady prepare for the ceremony. Salen was whisked away by Safiya to get dressed up together in her room.Celus was being bombarded with last minute knowledge from Landrews as the staff rushed to bring in two black suits; one for Celus, and the other for Brady. They also brought in the royal robe that had been passed down through generations. Every king that had been crowned in their monarchy had worn it all the way back to the first family.The robe was a royal blue color with white fur lining the outer trim. It had a large golden crown embroidered in the center along with the royal crest.Celus groaned as he took the suit into his arms and moved to the connected bathroom to change out of his shorts and long sleeve shirt.The suit was black with silver cufflings that had the golden crest engraved into them. It was paired with a plain white button-up shirt and matching black tie.
