Misunderstanding pt 2

It was time for dinner already and the Lancaster’s were yet to appear at the dining table, the only people present were Nicklaus and Sarah. She set the table while he stared at her with venom in his eyes. “What are you doing”?. Nicklaus threw at Shirley as she was about to take her seat in the dinning.

“Umm what does it look like.. I’m taking a seat”. Shirley said describing with her hands.

“Maids are not supposed to be at the dinning with their bosses”. Nicklaus shot back at her.

Shirley wasn’t going down without a fight. “Well. The fact that I cooked dinner tonight doesn’t mean I’m a maid”.

“Who cooks dinner without being a maid”?.

Shirley couldn’t wrap her head round the whole scenario, this kid just arrived today and he’s already having issue with her for reasons best known to him. “Do we have a problem Nik”. Shirley decided to ask.

“Its Nicklaus to you”.

”Well go screw yourself”. Was Shirley’s reply.

“Is there a problem”? Adon asked coming down from the stairs while Sarah and Allison followed behind.

“You can ask your maid”. Nik answered angrily.

“She isn’t a maid”? Sarah replied in Shirley’s defense “She’s just here to help with little thing around the house”.

“Well that makes her a……...

Adon cleared his throat. “Nicklaus, that’s enough….lets enjoy a loving dinner without arguments and fights”.

After a while, Nicklaus spoke up……” I have a surprise for you and Sarah, Adon.

“What’s that”?. Sarah asked, her curiosity taking the most of her..

“ I have a 6 days couple activity planned for you and Sarah. Starting lets say tomorrow”. Came the reply from Nik.

“But that too sudden”. Sarah said.

“Sarah is right Nik, you are just telling us tonight and the outing starts tomorrow is tomorrow”.

“Well apparently that’s your business, I already planned the activities it’s up to you and your wife to make preparations for it. Unless you all want Mrs. Lancaster involved”. Nik threatened.

Sarah and Adon share a look before replying Nicklaus. “We agree, we’ll go on the date tomorrow”.

“Babe”. Allison called .. “Are we also going to the park”?

“Should we also go to the park”? Allison nodded.

“Okay, it’s a double date then. Seem like someone is going to be left out”. Nik said eyeing Shirley.

“Nik”!! Adon and Sarah called at the same time.

“What? I didn’t call any names okay”.

Charlotte had finished eating and James was prepared to leave.

“Thank you James, For the meal, I enjoyed myself so much”. Charlotte said as soon as they reached the door.

“No problem, you know I’ll do anything for you. Okay, I’ll leave now so you can return. I don’t want you getting in trouble with Paul”.

James took slow steps backward still facing her. She smiled shyly…”do you want to fall”?.

“I don’t mind falling as long as my wom… I mean friend is okay”. James said trying hard not to blush.

“Okay….”she smiled shyly again.

“Go In and lock the door tightly okay”?

“Yes…” Charlotte responded, locking the back door.

She turned to walked inside, her face filled with smile as she fully came into view she sighted the devil himself.
