[Back to the present]

Valerie opened her eyes and gasped and stared in confusion at the room around her. The strong smell of medicine and all over the whitewashed walls let her know where she was. There was an IV in her arm and when she felt her head, there was a bandage on it, a little painful to touch.

Valerie's heart was churning rapidly and her tears were flowing profusely. She remembered everything; everything, from start to finish, from her first meeting with Jose to her breakup due to the accident.

At that instant, Valerie suddenly remembered Jose's sad expression when she shot him. His expression was so hurt even though the man called her affectionately.

Valerie cried out loud regretfully, realizing that she had shot her own husband, realizing that she might have killed the husband she loved so dearly.
