Chapter 6

“Why is Lieutenant Sofiah here?” Matin asked as he’s confused seeing Sofiah at his medical examination.

“Lieutenant Sofiah is your medical examiner for today, Captain,” Nurse Aminah answered him while smiling.

“Where is Captain Mahmod? He should be the examiner, not her,” he protested.

“Captain Mahmod has been admitted to the hospital. He suggested Lieutenant Sofiah replaces him.”

“We should cancel today's medical examination. She's not qualified to be the examiner,” he still protested, causing everyone to look at him including Sofiah.

Sofiah knew Matin didn't want her to be his examiner.

“We can't cancel, Captain. But don't worry, we will analyse the results together.” Nurse Aminah tried to calm him down.

“I don't believe her judgement,” he replied with a cold voice, glaring at Sofiah, who was walking towards him.

“Do we have any problems here? We should start the examination now,” she said with a poker face.

“I don't want to be examined by you,” he stated, giving a sharp glare to her.

She chuckled and confronted him. “I also don't want to be your examiner. But you and I have no power to stop this.”

“Let's cancel the examination for today.”

She let out a big sigh at his stubbornness. “We can't cancel this examination just for you, Captain. If you don't want to be examined for today, then I have to fail you. Choose wisely, Captain.” She challenged him.

He clenched his teeth while glaring at her. Meanwhile, she showed a nonchalant face while crossing her arms over her chest.

Everyone in the room kept quiet in a tense situation while seeing the argument between the two enemies.

They were quite surprised at her braveness since no one dared to mess with the prince as you would never know the consequences of it. But now they were also very interested to see what would happen to the drama in front of them.

“Fine! Let's be professional. But I won’t tolerate it if you make any mistakes!” He finally gave in but at the same time, he threatened her.

She just smirked at him. “Alright. Let's start now.”

❤❤❤

“Have a seat, Captain,” Sofiah said as it was Matin's turn to check his medical examination results.

“How is my result?” he asked, curiously.

“Are you ready?” She raised her eyebrows.

“Don't waste my time. Just tell me.” He’s slightly impatient.

She started showing him the results. She explained the results one by one to him and at last, she came to the conclusion.

“Based on your medical results, you are prohibited from acting as pilot-in-command until you pass the next medical examination,” she announced his final results.

“What did you say?!” He’s furious after hearing her announcement.

“You clearly heard me, Captain,” she said with a nonchalant face.

She knew this result made him mad, but she didn't have a choice. He clearly failed the medical examination.

“Who are you to prohibit me from flying?” He challenged her, boiling with anger.

“Oh! You might have forgotten that I'm your medical examiner. I have the right to prohibit you from flying. I already explained it to you.” She’s slightly irritated by his behaviour.

He stood up from his seat, slammed his hands on her table and glared at her.

“I won't take orders from someone like you! You're just here for a few months. YOU. HAVE. NO. POWER. HERE!” he said with a firm voice.

She didn’t scare or feel intimidated at his remarks.

“YOU. ALSO. HAVE. NO. POWER. TO. STOP. ME. If you're arguing, I'll take your wings forever,” she replied, glaring at him.

He chuckled in disbelief while resting his hands on his waist.

“You must be kidding me. You don’t have such power as a mere doctor,” he said, mockingly.

This time, she chuckled.

“I can take your wings, Captain,” she said, looking up at him with a serious expression.

“Oh, you can't.” He didn’t believe her.

“Of course, I can. Do you want me to show you?” She raised her eyebrows.

He rolled his eyes at her.

Then, she showed him a few stamps on her table. Among those stamps was license suspended and license revoked.

He’s speechless.

“You said I don’t have power as a mere doctor. But how can these stamps be here for me?” she said, mockingly.

“Which one should I choose for you? License suspended or worse, license revoked!” She’s having fun teasing him while pretending to choose the exact stamp for him.

He then walked closer to her and looked at her in the eyes with a stern glare.

“You know what? I'm still your commanding officer. And starting from this moment, I will make your life a living hell!” he said with a cold voice, threatening her.

Instead, she smiled widely. “My pleasure, Sir.”

Finally, she stamped ‘license suspended’ on his medical results. He couldn't fly as a pilot for one month and he needed to repeat the medical examination next month.

❤❤❤

“She has the guts to put you under suspension. I salute her,” Captain Rizki said with a giggle.

“She’s just digging her own grave!” Matin replied in a cold voice as he’s still angry at Sofiah.

“I smell something fishy. What are you gonna do to her?” Captain Rizki asked, raising his eyebrows.

“I want her to remember that I'm her commanding officer and she shouldn't mess with me,” he said while clenching his teeth.

“Are you saying you’re gonna take revenge on her?” Captain Rizki asked, curiously.

“I have one free month until the next medical examination. It's boring without flying,” he replied with a smirk, as he’s planning something evil for Sofiah.

Captain Rizki chuckled while shaking his head in disbelief. “You must be crazy. By the way, she is your cousin, right?”

“Second cousin,” he answered, coldly.

“Then, can I get her number?” Captain Rizki asked, smiling cheekily.

Suddenly, Matin’s face turned bitter as he couldn’t believe his ears.

“What?! Are you interested in her?!”

“She is the most beautiful doctor that I've ever met with a bare face. Now, I'm curious what she would look like in makeup. She must be gorgeous.” Captain Rizki smiled like an idiot while thinking about Sofiah.

He was getting annoyed at his friend. “Let me tell you. She looks like a zombie.”

“Maybe the prettiest zombie.” Captain Rizki still smiled like an idiot.

“She's not suitable for you. Find another woman!”

Captain Rizki’s eyebrows strained in confusion at his remarks. “Why? She's still single, right? Or is she with Mazid? I heard they are close.”

“She's not with Mazid. Mazid doesn’t have a low taste like you,” Matin mocked him.

“Then, she's single and available. I don't need your opinion, buddy. If you don’t want to help me, I can get her number by myself.” Captain Rizki winked.
