Alex's background—his life—his past. How could I tell her? I couldn't. His background involves his past which is mostly about his parents. That they are divorced and that his mother passed away. Knowing that if I tell Joanna, I can never remove the guilt. I can never let myself feel that I betrayed him.

My hands are freezing—it feels like I'm the one playing football. As Jon kicks the ball, aiming for the goal, one of their teammates run forward but the opponent team kicks the ball away.

Athena's POV''Checkmate.'' I say and Alex's jaw drops to the ground—making me let out my laughter. He looks back up at me and lightly rub his temples, showing how frustrated he is for losing the game, ''Seriously, you should give up because I've won for like—five times.''
Alexander's POVMy eyes wander to look out at the glass window—seeing the city of Singapore. I can't really focus on the meeting right now, just by hearing him talk somehow bores me. Staying here for a few more days might as well kill me. I've never felt this troublesome before whenever I have business matters to attend.
