"You can't just throw accusations around without proof!" Ethan's eyes flew wide open, the veins bulging out of his neck. He clearly couldn't believe that the she-wolf he loved could be this kind of werewolf.

"This is slander, you understand? We can appeal to the council, and the newly appointed Alpha will have you driven out!"

Ethan tried to pull Ivy toward the car to escape, but she was rooted to the spot, her legs refusing to obey out of sheer terror.

"Drive us out? Go ahead and try! We've got videos of her back then and records of her debts right here!" the lead Rogue said, waving an old phone tauntingly. "You cheap piece of trash! Stop acting all innocent! Looks like you're the one who's about to be driven out."

"What do you want? How much money exactly do you want? I'll give you anything—just stop forcing me like this!" Ivy screamed hysterically.
