Zach's PoV

Two weeks later

It's 2 a.m., but none of us have slept a wink! Kyle, Connor and I have been using all available resources to locate Natasha. It's as if she dropped off the face of the earth. I tried reaching out to her friends and the few family she ever introduced me to, but none of them know her whereabouts.

Footsteps echo down the hallway, I move stealthily to see who it is. Kyra! She always sneaks out of her room to get a snack or ice cream, thinking I'm unaware of it.

"And where do you think you're going young lady?" I ask, leaning against the door frame.

She jumps, startled. "Umm...umm to get water." Kyra says with a sheepish grin.

I fold my arms, "I wasn't born yesterday you know." I walk towards her with a gentle smile, "I always helped you sneak downstairs when you were much younger."

She sighs in relief, "Gosh, couldn't you have said that years ago?" Kyra slaps my arm, "How was I supposed to remember that bit on info?"
