Alena and Edmund were here in London since yesterday. Alena was currently getting ready for the gala. She finished her hair and makeup, and put her dress on.
Edmund walked in the room, wearing a black tuxedo. He stopped and started eyeing her for head to toe while smiling. "You look gorgeous," he complimented her, giving her lips a softly kiss.
"Thank you."
"Let's go?"
She nodded, and he grabbed her waist. When they got there, there was already a lot of people, smiling and laughing.
"Alena," someone called her behind her. She gasped, and turned around to find a smiling Avrielle.
What her sister doing here in London?
"Avrielle!" She quickly hugged her sister. Beside Avrieele was Lucio, smiling at her.
Lucio shook Edmund's hand. "Hey, man."
Avrielle greeted
Alena couldn't even sleep. She was so excited. She woke up like four times to see if it was morning, so they can go out. When she woke up again, it was still dark. She sighed. She felt Edmund moved lightly on his side of the bed, before wrapping a lazy arm on her. She frowned, looking outside before drifting back to sleep.**She woke up again, and got out of bed to look outside. The sun was rising. She smiled excitedly, and sat on the bed. She squealed lightly as she turned to Edmund, started shaking him to wake him up."Edmund," she whispered, and he groaned. "Edmund," she whispered again but he ignored her. "Edmund!" She yelled, shaking him harder."What, woman? What?" He groaned irritated, opening his eyes lightly."It's morning. Get up!"He looked outside for a moment, and looked at her, sighing. "No. It's still dark."
So what? He is just going to walk away like that? No. Alena followed her husband to the living room. "Hey!" she said, hitting his back. "What do you take me for?" she asked, glaring at him. "I'm not going to turn my back on my friends just because you want me to." Edmund glared at her, and was about to speak, but she cut him off. "No. Let me finish — You can't control my life, Edmund James Cardinal. He has more than a friend to me. He has always been like my brother. And you want me to turn my back on him? That's not happening. I'm not going to tell him to leave me alone, and even if you tell him to, that's not going to stop me." He just looked at her, his face emotionless. "I'm not Irina," she continued. "So you can't control everything I do." His face still emotionless. "You do it or I will." His hand reach for her face, but she slapped it away.
Alena woke up with a huge headache. She looked around to see that she was in their room. She remembered about yesterday, and her heart started beating faster. She slowly walked out of bed when she saw that Edmund was nowhere in sight. She couldn't even explain what happened yesterday. Did he really try to kill her, or he was just trying to scare her?His eyes were so blank. He was apologizing days ago. He wanted to make it up to her. What happened to that?Shw walked to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw her bruised neck. There's no way makeup will be able to hide this. Why did he do this to her?She started sobbing. She couldn't control herself. She shook her head as more tears were dropping. She closed her eyes for a few seconds to calm herself down. When she opened them, she jumped as she saw Edmund against the door frame, looking at her,
It's been two days. Edmund didn't come into the room, and Alena was glad. Rebecca has been bringing her food but will leave again, locking the door. Rebecca doesn't answer when she was talking to her, even look at her. She doesn't have her phone, so she haven't heard from anyone. She can't stay like this. She have to get the hell out of here. She went to the walk-in closet, and quickly put leggings, long sleeves shirts and cream eggs. She put a gum in her mouth, and sat on the bed with her book in hands, waiting for Rebecca to bring her diner. A couple of minutes later, Rebecca finally walked with a tray. "Oh, Rebecca," she said, getting out of bed smiling. But Rebecca didn't say anything. She discretely walked towards the door, took the gum that was in her mouth, and put in the door frame along with a small paper ball. She looked back at Rebecca to see her still occupied. Good. She smirked at hersel
Edmund walked in the room, hoping to tell Alena about her surprise for her. But the bedroom was empty. The door was locked. What the fuck? He walked to the bathroom and nothing. Did she leave him? Is she hiding from him? Then he saw the balcony door was open. "Damn it!" she cursed loudly. "Rebecca!" He yelled, and Rebecca came rushing. "Where the fuck is my wife?!" he snapped at her, and her eyes widened. "I don't know, Edmund. Last time I saw her was for her diner," Rebecca said, eyes still widened. "Tell Luke to come in the living room. Now!" How the fuck did she manage to get out? Is she outside alone? Fuck. He can't help but ball his fists. Fuck! What is wrong with him? Everything was going so well. What did he have to fuck everything up? "Y-You were looking for me, Sir?" said a trembling voice. &n
Uno ran a hand through his hair, frustrated. He can't believe that fucker showed up at Alena's house. He had to think quick. Yvo texted him, saying not to bring Alena home, because the fucker came looking for her. So he texted Paulo, telling him what he had to do.Paulo brought his most trusted men. Alena wasn't supposed to know where she was going, for her own safety. But when he see her, she will have his balls. Paulo have will explain everything to her when she wakes up. Did Paulo really have to make her sleep? Why did he have to do it like he was fucking kidnapping Alena? Damn.Edmund will never be able to find her in that house. Apparently, there's a problem with their marriage contract, and it scared Yvo enough to tell him not to bring her home. So he had to distract her, so she won't be focused on the road.Uno couldn't believe he was singing like a fucking idiot, so Alena won't take notice of the dr
"Apparently, she is forced to stay married to him for at least a year," Yvo's lawyer explained. "But, like you noticed Uno, she is not forced to stay in his house".Yvo shook his head. "I think it would be better if he doesn't know where she is at all. She will stay where she is until we find a solution." He sighed, lowering his head.**"Did you find her?" Edmund asked one of his men as he walked in."No, Sir. Still nothing."He groaned, and stood up, pacing. "Did you follow the Yvo boy?" he asked, clenching his jaw."Yes, Sir. But there's nothing.""Looks like he doesn't have anything to do with this." That son of a bitch. "Don't stop. Find her. Find my wife." He dismissed him.He was going crazy. Where the fuck she was? He still don't understand why she ran away. He did everything he could to make her happy.
After taking a shower, Alena went to the kitchen to find Paulo making diner as usual. Apparently, he doesn't trust them for his food, so he cooks every day. But he is good so she don't mind."Can I help?" she said, walking up to him.He smiled and nodded. "Of course," he said, giving things to do.She ain't a good cook, but at least she can help."You look less depressed than a week ago." He smiled at her.She sighed. "Yeah. I would rather be here than with an abusive, possessive husband." She smiled weakly. "Everything is just weird. He was sweet, most of the time he was the perfect husband." She shook her head. "I don't know what happened.""Everything's going to be fine." He said, putting a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Uno won't let anything bad happen to you."She nodded smiling. "I know. But I don't want him to get in trouble be
