Chapter 14

Alena woke up to see Edmund's side empty. She fought the urge to cry, and got out off bed, wrapping the surrounding sheets. She went to the bathroom, and stared at her reflection.

Seriously, what was she expecting?

She closed her eyes for a few seconds, and when she opened them, she jumped as she saw Edmund leaning against the door frame, staring at her. She was shocked to see him here. She thought he was at work.

"Good morning," he said walking toward her. He grabbed her waist and pecked her lips. "You look surprised." He chuckled in a bit.

What's so funny? Jerk.

"Good morning." She sighed, trying to get out of his grip, but he wouldn't let her.

"I want to have lunch with you. Come to my office later," he said, making her look at him surprised.

She raised her eyebrow. "And why?"

"I want to spend time with my wife. Is that a bad thing?" He  kissed softly her naked shoulders and neck.
