Chapter 24

Eric's POV

I checked everywhere but I didn't see anyone. Maybe she saw a shadow of something.

Thinking this, I started going back to my study room. But before I could pull down the doorknob, there was the sound of something falling to the ground and I instantly turned to check on the direction from where the sound came.

I start looking around with alertness. However, again there is a long silence all around as if no sound has come in the first go.

Is that my illusion?

I shake my head and again make my way back to the study room.

But this time a man's voice falls on my ears, on hearing which I stop my feet to go further.

And what made me active is that this sound is not coming from anywhere else but from the storeroom.

That's one place I haven't checked yet.
