Wearing a proper dress and showing formal gestures would be enough as my appearance to Wren's relatives. I've been very aware that they would expect a fancy dinner that wearing formal dresses was a must as well. Or I was just overreacting in how I see the family of Medina. But it's better to become as proper as how Wren acts and shows himself to them and to other people. After fixing myself, I went downstairs and the maids even stopped to gaze at me. I felt comfortable by the way they looked at me but ended up not minding it. "Where's Wren?" I asked. "Oh, Sir Wren's already outside, Ma'am. He's the one who'll drive the car there." I nodded and smiled at her before walking out. "By the way, Ma'am. You look really pretty tonight. Enjoy your night!" I turned around and let my heart pound faster when my maid complimented me. "Thank you, I will!" And I exited the house with all my confidence. Hoping this night would be better. Wren's rooting for this occasion so I must not make any pr
The days made me busy that living in the workplace would be better than going home to finish my tasks. Good thing I've finished it all and I finally have a rest day considered for me today. Instead of locking myself in our bedroom to take a nap for the whole day, I went to Wren's building to pay him a meaningless visit. But for his workers, I visited him with all the kinds of sweet meanings since I am his wife that they're informed about. "So he's not here?" I asked, uninformed that Wren's not in his office right now that I paid him a visit for the first time. Great timing. But his Secretary's here. "I'm sorry Ma'am, he was called for a sudden meeting. Should I leave a message to him here for you? Did something urgent happen that you needed him? You can stay here if you want," her Secretary responded with all hospitatility. "No, it's fine. I don't have anything to say that is important." It was such an ashame to come here without knowing what he's currently doing. "Haven't he tex
I hooked my bag on my shoulder and was ready to leave from my office for lunch when my phone rang. I had hesitations in responding to the one who's calling me. But ended up answering it. "Hello, what is up?" I started as my phone drew closer to my ear. I flinched when he formally coughed across the call. "Are you free right now?""Yes, is there something urgent? It's currently our break," I responded. Days had been usual, I kept piling myself in work for the sake of not having free times. To become busy like Wren. We're both piled up every day and our only chance to see each other was during night time. Never even get to have dinner together sometimes that's why I didn't get any opportunities to talk to him or spend my time with him properly. It's not like I am avoiding Wren, I was just preparing myself to start interacting with him more. Karin's words that night made a reflection to me. It made me have the thought to rely on her tip. To at least make the possibility to make Wren
I was busy searching my keycar in my bag when Wren suddenly popped up into my sight. He's leaning on his parked car and his calm posture on it seemed like someone who's waiting for someone. I gulped and my feet almost took their steps backward but I controlled myself. Our eyes met. He smirked at me. This was unfair, he just smirked like he's teasing me while this was me, blushing and dying in my face's redness. "What's up. How's your day?" he asked. "It's not how great as it is," I replied and stood up in front of him. "Why are you here? If you're planning to drive me home, I have my own car." "Where's your... car? I don't see it anywhere," Wren asked, looking at the whole parking lot. I roamed my eyes as well and tried cupping my keycar in my bag but I couldn't find it anywhere. And I realized, I didn't drive myself at work this morning. "I'll accompany you to where your car is. And then we'll both drive at home together." He slowly walked toward me so all I could do was to s
We drove back home immediately and Wren's plan to stay by the resort for another day was cancelled. It was cancelled due to some important reasons and the other reasons were about something we both knew but none of us had mentioned. The car was so quiet but the air was extremely densed. No one's trying to start a conversation. As if our lips were shut by the small pieces of memories we could recall, and it's all about the night we had yesterday. My hands were tingling over my lap, Wren could notice the discomfort since he's seated beside me. His eyes glimpsed on my side fleetingly. He sighed. "Is there something wrong?" He finally ruined the silence. I hope the car was relieved when he finally made a sound. "I am fine, why did you ask?" Okay, I am not actually okay. Because I've been overthinking about the both of us, drunk in bed and we slept together. Wren shrugged. "I just feel like you aren't okay. Do you feel uncomfortable whenever we're in the same car?" "No, that's not
Sun finally went down the horizon by the edge of the sea. When the stars appeared with the bright moon from above as it reflected its clear round image on the ocean, I looked at my reflection in the mirror once again. I pinched my cheeks because they started reddening for the nth time. The night would be cold but there's a chance that my hot cheeks would be able to stop me from shivering later. I was properly dressed. This is not what I was expecting as my night would be. It's supposed to be fun and loud and there would be a lot of drinks served before me. But Wren told me that we'd drink the whole night in a ferry for dinner. That's actually fine with me but it's not what I really wanted. I didn't want to reject his dinner offer knowing he already reserved a ferry for a single, fancy, honeymoon dinner. It would be a waste of money if he'd cancel it because I didn't want to go. Since I was certain that he'd immediately waste the ferry reservation just because I didn't arrive. That'
