Chapter 14

I was displaying myself in front of the clubroom's closed door and I was panting rapidly and heavily. Jasper and I tried our best to dash all the way here because Aspen's words sounded so urgent.

"Here, take it," Jasper exclaimed amidst his breaths. He's lending an unopened bottle of water to me. "You need it more than I do. And I could easily buy another one on my way."

All I did was to look at him and not the bottle he's giving. But he looked more exhausted than me. I refused to take his offer. "No thanks, you're more tired than me. And, aren't you going to stay in the clubroom with Aspen? You're his friend, right?"

He just shrugged his shoulders, meaning to say he wouldn't stay that long. "No, I've got works in class and I don't want to interrupt your privacy."
