Erebus was woken by the time Kitty went into the shower. He lied his head on his arms and fell back to sleep.
He didn't move or even open his eyes when Kitty opened her bedroom door, just curling there on the floor. It WAS a long night and he fell asleep late, but it was because that he wanted to know Kitty's reaction to his wolf form that he lied there, waiting.
Kitty didn't try to wake him up, thinking he was exhausted and needed some rest. So she just stood there staring at him for a while.
Silence.
For a man, it was showing this beast form to a girl he liked that worried Erebus; but for a woman, well, a girl still, it was--
"You are soooo cute..." Kitty mumbled in the way any girl teasing a cute puppy and knelt down by his side, touching his fluffy ear with her hand, "I hope you won't be mad if you know about this, but you are just TOO cute!!!"
The silver wolf opened his eyes but didn't move, his big blue eyes fixed on her showing that he was awake, but he didn't move.
"Oops, sorry... Did I wake you?" Kitty withdraw her hand.
Erebus didn't speak, he just rubbed his head against her as a sign of happiness.
"Awwwww..." Kitty sighed and threw herself on his body, her arms trying to hold him, "You are the cutest thing ever! I like your fluffy ear!"
Erebus wasn't sure whether that was the compliment he wanted -- him, being a legendary alpha, being called as the "cute thing", but he was surely enjoying her hug and affection that he didn't really mind the name.
He curled his tail by his side and raised one of his arms for Kitty to slide down from his back onto his tail and use it as a bed. Kitty lied on this fluffy bed, her head on his paw under his own head, and Erebus put down his arm once again and covered her body.
"You should have knocked on the door, I would never refuse such a cutie in my room. You didn't have to sleep here, you poor thing." Kitty put her hand on Erebus's face, the silver fluff there was soft and smooth, unlike the fur on his back which were harder.
"Next time I will." Even in his low voice, Erebus's words still reached Kitty like thunder through the vibrant of his body.
"You have a gentle soul, you know that?" Kitty closed her eyes, mumbling and soon fell asleep again.
It wasn't particularly hard for Erebus to sleep on the floor. Not to mention the one night he spent in a forest every month, his fights, his wars and his life, had always been harder. Comfort was not something constantly on his mind.
However, now it got really hard for Erebus to fall asleep again. He got extremely excited when Kitty threw herself and slide into his arms, and he didn't think he would be so enticed to a body but--
Kitty's legs were trying to get under his belly because that was where it was warmer, and with her body pressed against his, and her amazing scent right under his nose, Erebus just felt as if he was about to catch fire.
He took a deep breath trying to calm himself but all that did was causing Kitty to move her body in her sleep, as if finding a better position, which only made it harder for Erebus.
He wanted her so badly that he could feel the changes in his body, and the hardest part was that he had what he needed to calm that thirst right there in his arm, yet he had to restrain himself because what was in his arms was so precious, so delicate to him that he won't let anything ruin it, not even his own desire.
The next three hours was a total torture for him. He almost felt relieved when the maid opened the door to deliver breakfast.
"Oh! I'm sorry, my Lord!" The woman blurted out.
"Hush..." Erebus said. He didn't want to let Kitty know he bought the hotel for her and arranged his people around her yet.
And it was Erebus who woke Kitty up, because his voice reached her better than a low gasp from the maid far away from her.
"Hmmm..." Kitty moaned in his arms without opening her eyes, and stretched her body, only to felt her feet reached something hard, "Hmm?"
She pulled back her legs to her chest and tried to sit up and see what that was. Erebus almost jumped up to run away. He stopped when he realized Kitty was still lying on his tail.
"Want breakfast, my little kitten?" He asked, hoping she would answer "yes".
"Sure, what's for breakfast?" Kitty rubbed her eyes, not fully awake.
"What's for breakfast?" Erebus asked the maid--
"Ahh!" Kitty screamed at the maid, who put the plate in her hands down on the table as fast as she could and ran away yelling "Strawberry!"
"Oops, did I scare her? I was just surprised because I didn't know she was there..." Kitty watched the door shut by the maid, and mumbled to Erebus.
"It's okay. She'll be fine." But he won't be if Kitty keeps on rubbing against his body. He might just throw himself against her and take her right there.
Erebus felt like he deserved some kind of awards for having so strong a self-control and not doing anything inappropriate, yet.
"Strawberry!" Kitty yelled and jumped up to the bowl, and Erebus felt as if he was just granted the amnesty. If he was in his human form, he would have been in heavy sweat and there would be no hiding of his secret whatsoever.
"Aren't you having breakfast with me?" Kitty was surprised to see Erebus sneaking to the door, "Oh, right, you have your own breakfast waiting..."
"I'll be back, enjoy your breakfast!" Erebus ran before his words can fall on the ground.
Kitty stood there frozen, staring at his fast escaping with half of a strawberry still in her mouth and mumbled to herself: "What's the rush?"
"How rude." A man's voice came from the open door.
"Curtis?!" Kitty gasped and the next second--"Ahh!!!" Kitty yelled and ran back into her bedroom."May I come in?" Curtis's voice came through the door with obvious laughter hiding with in."No, you may not!" Kitty yelled as she went around looking for her clothes."But the door is open, and there seems to be a delicious--" Curtis pr
"What are you talking about?" Curtis grinned at Erebus, not admitting anything."I'm talking about the werewolf prince who, at my best effort, hid his trace so well that I only found out he went to Paris, nothing more." Erebus said lazily, his blue eyes locked on Curtis, watching his reaction."That's further than anyone else could get already, don't beat yourself up." Curtis laughed which only irritate Erebus more.Erebus: "..."
"Iapetus, the maid appointed to Kitty's room, Sylvia? Get her to the office, now!" Erebus yelled to the phone as he headed to the elevator."Right away." Iapetus's calm voice came through the phone before Erebus hung it up."Good luck on a FUN interrogation day! I think I might just get myself a date!" Curtis yelled at Erebus as the door of the elevator closed slowly, and satisfied with the murderous look on Erebus's face.Curtis pulled his phone after the elevator w
"I'm sorry. My deepest apologies, I'm really sorry..." With an apologizing smile, Erebus stood in front of Kitty's room with his palms together, begging for her forgiveness."Hmph." Kitty stood there with her arms up in front of her chest, not answering."I got caught up with an emergency. I'm really sorry I kept you waiting." Erebus lowered his body to try to look Kitty in the eyes, "Pleaseee forgive me?""We said 'after breakfast'. I guess 6pm in the afternoon tech
"Hmm?" Erebus took the plate and returned to her side, "What's wrong?""Nothing. Where do you want to eat?" Kitty quickly wiped the confusion on her face and asked."Somewhere near the sea, hopefully. How about the rock over there?" Erebus looked around and hinted Kitty with his head."Cool." Kitty skipped a few steps to catch up with him.
It took them only half of the time when they went there to get back to the bar. Kitty thought she was nervous and a bit excited, but the stress was much more tightened as she felt Erebus hitting on the gas."Metis, talk to me." Erebus asked as then stepped in the bar."Some of Perses men got into the city right after you left for the village that day." Metis came to Erebus and started walking with his as she spoke, "From what we know now, they came FROM the village.""They took something from there?" Erebus rose an eyebrow."More like someone." Metis nodded."Emma!" Kitty gasped."We think so. And we think she's the only survivor, except Kitty, now it seems, which is why they had been hell bent on Killing Kitty." Metis said."Not really." Kitty said in deep thoughts."What do you mean?" Erebus asked."They could have killed me right where they found me, the first time AND the second. They were trying to kill me only because the order was to wipe out the city, I feel. I didn't feel like
"She is brilliant!!!" Iapetus exclaimed with applause, as if he just discovered some treasure."Iapetus, not now." Metis warned him with a low, calm voice.Kitty was not at all affected by his passion. She was now all sullen and sad in her memory. No, the people there wasn't particularly good to her. Yes, she lived a miserable life there. But it was still her home, they were still the people who helped her to survive by occasionally giving her a bread or so. And there was her family, to cute little sisters and a naughty but brave young brother. All of them, gone overnight, because a witch wasn't sur
Did Erebus just say "my King"?!!Kitty and Metis looked at each other in shock, and to their surprise, Iapetus also looked very much surprised. Guess this is not something usual to them either. Kitty thought.Erebus supported the King by his arm and led him inwards, but the King shook his hand lightly to refuse: "Right here is fine. I have to leave soon."There they were, in the empty hall of the bar, with an old rickety man dripping from all over his hood and robe i
