ALEX POV The drive to South Square takes about twenty minutes through the slow evening traffic. I could still turn back and hold on to what’s left of my sanity but that at the cost of this collaboration. Instead I pull into a parking spot across from the bar, turn the engine off and stare at the bar’s colourful sign post as it flickers above the entrance. “Damn Ellis” I said loudly into the vacant air. I unlock my seatbelt and push open the car's door stepping out into the cold. The bar looks more classy the moment I walk in. Warm lights glow softly from the ceiling shining against the flawlessly polished marble floors and midnight blue walls.Curved plush booths sit along the walls to give people space and some privacy. The air in here carries a mix of sweat and liquor. The music is louder here that I can almost feel the beat in my chest, blending with quiet conversations. The whole place screams luxury, wealth and carefully put together. The bar is pretty full for a Tuesday night.A few groups at the bar and some people drinking alone lost in their own thoughts while some dance in the middle of the bar. I glance toward the bar first, the stools are filled with people drinking and laughing too loudly. No familiar dark hair. I turn toward the booths but none of them hold the man I’m looking for either At the far end of the bar, a long hallway cuts through the middle, above it an arrow sign reads ’VIP Lounge’ Of course he would be there. I make my way through the bar ignoring the curious look on the bartender’s face. The hallway is darker, lit by strips of deep red light. This part of the bar is darker than the main area, clearly made for privacy. The furniture looks expensive and carefully arranged. Low golden lights glow against its dark walls giving the room a shout of wealth. I step inside the exclusive space and freeze. Ellis sits naked on the curved seat. A red haired stripper kneels between his thighs, moving in a way that makes it painfully clear what I’ve just walked into. “Ellis…” I blink trying to make sense of what I’m seeing. Slowly he lifts his head and looks at me,a small smirk tugging at one side of his lips.My heart pounds, heat climbing my neck.Yet he does not stop, not even for a second. My entire body goes rigid as I stand rooted there unable to move my heavy legs, my chest tightening with sharp pain. I watch frozen as her head bobs faster and Ellis’s hand tightens, holding her there like he doesn’t want her to stop. “Fuck… yeah…right there” Ellis hisses, his voice rough and loud. She obeys immediately, wet and sloppy sounds fill the air and I can’t look away. Ellis’s hand twists into his hair, his body tensed with every motion. Then it hits me hard, fury, heartbreak, desire, everything burning all at once. I want to yell, grab him, hurt him and punish him at the same time. Is this supposed to be punishment ,is this his way of saying he despises so much? Or a proof of how much he hates me? By letting me watch him fuck another person The stripper blinks startled by my presence when she finally notices me. Ellis presses his hand to her face, turning her back to him. “Shh…he is no one, so focus on me…hmnn… exactly like that.” His stare meets mine teasing and challenging me silently. He lets her continue with keeping his gaze locked on me. God, I hate this every nerve in me aches, I want to shove her away, take him and make him mine. I want every touch and sound between them erased. I want him so badly it hurts that I can not stop watching. I hate how seeing them like this makes my cock press hard against my jeans, how every licking sound burns through me. His chest rises and falls faster, shoulders tightening with every shiver. I watch every movement as his jaw clenches, lips parting slightly with ragged breath. His hand grips the edge of the seat, fingers digging in like he’s trying to hold himself together. Heat radiates off him, and I feel it too, then he shudders with a loud moan, chest heaving hard, and his eyes lock on mine. Even after it passes, his chest still rises unevenly. The air between us thick and heavy. The room feels smaller, hotter and heavier. My hands are shaking, my cock is aching and my brain is screaming for me to leave. The stripper pulls back, wiping her mouth. “Do you want more?” she asks, rubbing her hands all over him. She stands, adjusting himself, clearly expecting more. Ellis shakes his head, voice rough, ragged. “Not right now.” She looks confused and irritated but takes the hint, grabs her panties and leaves, brushing past me with a curious glance, leaving Ellis bare, tense, and beautiful in the dim light. I stand there like an idiot while Ellis wears his shorts and slides out of the booth. He walks past me without a word, heading to the other side of the room that contains drinks. Anger and jealousy ignites within at once. I step forward, pressing my chest against his. “what the hell did you think you're doing!” I growl pressing my chest against his back. Ellis freezes, eyes widening for a second. I lean in closer, pressing my body against his. "You're mine," I hissed against his skin. "Not hers, not anyone's." “Alex…”His jaw clenches as he swallows hard. Those hazel eyes meet mine dark and stripped bare. I shove him back against the table, pinning him with my weight. My hands slide up his chest. His heart beating against my palms fastly. "Look at me." My mouth finds his ear, "Feel how angry I am? That you let her touch you" I bite down on his earlobe. He arches up, a rough sound tearing from his throat. Ellis gasps, shaking hard. His trembling hands come up to my shoulders trying to push me away. “Alex… fuck… stop…” He gasps words trembling with need. I grab his hair, yanking his head back. "Did he make you feel like this?" I growl, sucking hard on his ear. "I didn't mean…" His words break off into a moan as I roll my hips against his. "Didn't mean what? Didn't mean for me to see?" My hand slides down his stomach tracing the hard muscle there. He tenses under my touch breathing hard,“Or didn't mean to get caught?" “It's none of your fucking business!” he barked out I hold him through the tiny short he wore and he jerks against my touch, a desperate sound escaping him. I apply more pressure, grinding the palms of my hand against him. "Yes..fuck..Alex!" "Use your words Ellis, gentle words" I reply voice low He trembles his whole body vibrating with need. His nails digging in through my shirt. "I can't.." He tries to speak but I bite down on his nipple and the words dissolve into a loud moan. "Look at me," I commanded. His eyes snap open, meeting mine. "I want to see you when you fall apart..all of you." "Please.." He whimpers in pure frustration and need "Not yet." I kiss him again, swallowing his protests. My hand keeps working him in steady strokes, bringing him right to the edge and holding him there. He trembles under me completely lost in the mood. "Alex, I can't..I need.." "What do you need?" I pull back to watch him struggle for words. "You.. anything, Just please" "Tell me you're mine," I demand against his mouth. "I'm not yours! never!," he gasps immediately. "I will never be yours, not now or ever" “Say that again,” I breathe angrily My other hand slides up under his shirt, fingers finding his nipple and pinching. He cries out, back arching off the table. “Let me hear you say that again. I guess it isn't a bad idea after all to leave you here, high and dry then" I whisper softly watching him tense with ache. “You think you can control me? Alex, that’s over. I moved on pretty well, and sex isn’t a problem for me,” he said flatly. I lean down to bite at his collarbone, sucking hard enough to leave a mark. "Hmm.. that's a valid reason but not until I am inside you, wait till I fuck you thoroughly then you get to say what is on your mind." My fingers find the zipper of his shorts, working it down.He lifts his hips slightly, helping me, and I smirk against his skin. Then his phone rings loudly on the table beside us and we both stop. Ellis glances at the screen, and whatever he sees there drains the colour from his face. The heat in his eyes disappears, replaced by something I’ve never seen there before. Fear. His fingers tighten around the phone, and before he can hide it, I catch a glimpse of the screen. It’s a picture,an old one of Ellis and I kissing eachother.CHAPTER SIXTEENALEX POVThe drive home should have taken twenty minutes. Somewhere along the way, I missed my turn. I didn't realize it until a red light forced me to stop.I looked up and none of the buildings looked familiar. I was already three streets past where I should have turned.I let out a quiet breath, made a slow U turn, and drove back.I found the main road again and kept driving, the steady hum of the car heater filling the silence with a soft warmth. Outside, the world blurred past beneath the fading city lights. The traffic lights ahead shifted from red to green, their glow casting faint reflections across the windshield. I drove through them without really looking at them.Every bump in the road sent a dull ache through my jaw. I caught my reflection in the rearview mirror. Even in the dim glow, the bruise was beginning to show. By morning, it would be impossible to hide.Theo.He was standing beside Ellis the first time we met..Back then, he was just another face bes
CHAPTER FIFTEENALEX POVThe second I got inside, the noise hit me. The music, the laughter and Glasses clinking. It all blurred together. A few minutes ago, it was just a regular party. Now, it felt like I was walking into a room full of strangers.Ellis was a few steps ahead of me. He straightened his jacket as he walked and nodded at someone who called his name across the room. My fingers drifted to my jaw,It was already starting to ache.I headed for the bar.“Whiskey please"I ordered. The bartender poured it without a word and slid the glass across.I picked it up, turned away from the crowd, and took a slow sip from the drink. The whiskey burned on the way down."What happened to your face?"My mother appeared beside me before I could set the glass down. Her eyes went straight to my jaw.“I hit a door""A door?" she repeated.“Yeah It was dark"She held my gaze.I'd seen that look before. It was the same one she used whenever she knew I wasn't telling the truth."Alex.""Mom it's nothing
CHAPTER FOURTEENELLIS POVMy tie was perfectly straight. I loosened it anyway, as if that small act could settle the restlessness inside me.The full length mirror showed a man in a black tux with combed hair and everything in its place. I looked like someone who had it all together. I looked like a Valmont.“No strings attached and no feelings involved” I’d repeated those words almost forty times since morning.I reached for my cufflinks, but my hands weren't steady. The first one slid into place while the second slipped from my fingers and rolled under the dresser.I stared at the floor for a second before dropping to my knees to bring it out.My phone buzzed on the dresser to notify me it's time to leave.I fastened the remaining cufflink, picked up my jacket, and slipped it on.The drive to The Hall took twenty minutes.I sat in the back of the car, watching London slide past the window. Saturday evening crowds filled the streets. People gathered outside restaurants, and couples wa
CHAPTER THIRTEEN ELLIS POVThe heavy mahogany door clicked shut loudly in the quiet penthouse. I stood by the big window, looking out at the London city lights. My reflection looked back at me, pale in the glass.I could still feel Alex's hand on my cheek. It was a touch that had felt safe for a moment despite it all.I took a shaky breath and pulled my robe tighter. I wanted to be angry. But deep down, underneath the fury, was a raw ache that felt like grief. I had let him in, shared my bed and my thoughts. I didn't want this silence. I wanted the noise, the fight, the anger, something real I could actually hold onto. Instead, all I had was the fading warmth on the sheets and a heavy knot of doubt twisting in my stomach.*******************************************By 8:00 AM, I was in the back of my car, typing on my tablet. Shaking off last night's vulnerability to become CEO Ellis Valmont was a familiar routine. I adjusted my cufflinks, a gift from Theo, and walked into the buildi
CHAPTER TWELVE ELLIS POVThe morning sun cut a sharp line across the mattress, waking me slowly.I was face down, my cheek pressed against the familiar, steady rise and fall of Alex's chest. The air in the room was cool, but the sheets tangled around my hips kept the warmth trapped between us.For the first time all week, the heavy ache in my shoulders had dissolved into the mattress.Alex's heartbeat picked up under my ear.It didn't speed up gently,it spiked, hard and sudden.Above me, his breath caught. The easy warmth that usually rolled off him vanished instantly, replaced by a rigid, freezing stillness.I kept my eyes shut, pretending to sleep as his arm began to slide out from under me.He moved slowly and gently.I let out a soft, low grunt and rolled onto my side to give him space, keeping my eyes heavy and closed. The mattress shifted as his weight left it.Through lowered lashes, I watched him s
CHAPTER ELEVEN ELLIS POVI stared at the message delivered twenty minutes ago. I set the phone down, only to pick it up again a second later. Still no response. I kept staring ahead until the walls started to blur together, sitting there in the quiet as the evening light slowly faded from the room.I paced back and forth between the couch and the window, checking the street every time a car drove by. After some time, I just stood off to the side of the glass, watching the traffic pass, unable to sit still. Then, my phone buzzed on the table.I grabbed it so fast I nearly dropped it, catching it against my chest. Three dots danced on the screen indicating that he's typing.“On my way”I set the phone down on the counter. For a second, I just stood there, staring at nothing. I dragged a hand over my face and let out a long sigh.“He actually said yes.” I glanced back at the screen like the message might magically change if I looked too long. I wasn’t ready for that answer.“Oh my
